Most underrated film

We all have them, films that we love that when we mention them, on the most part, people haven’t seen them. For me, I think Requiem for a dream fits the bill, very dark( so dark I had to watch the waterboy after it to cheer myself up) but amazing performances from top to bottom. Let’s hear yours. |

"Equilibrium, with Christian Bale and Sean Bean. The critics panned it, but I know of a number of friends who liked it."
Watched this one again recently. Definitely a misunderstood movie at the time, and retrospectively a great film. |

Found that quite disturbing but I guess that's the point. Only watched it once |

Yeah, I think it’s a one and done kind of film.

Maudie- its utterly depressing but exquisitely brilliant
The Dish- Aussie comedy with Sam Neil
The Straight Story- A man on a tractor...sounds dull, bloody excellent (true story too)
A Single Man- Colin Firth is always a solid actor, but everything about this film is done to perfection with supreme love and detail.
Forbidden Planet- Leslie Neilson doing serious acting, the visual effects were probably more advanced for their time than Star Wars was when it came out
Das Boot (the long, long version)- never watched a film quite this intense, don't think i stopped it for a pee, drink or snack etc for the full 4 1/2ish hours, fucking immense! |

"187, with Samuel L Jackson. Awesome film and soundtrack!
Oo good shout
It's great isn't it!? I love Trevor Garfield, what a bad-ass "
Definitely one of his lesser known films. Reminds me of the substitute. |

Dracula 2000 - love the explanation for how Dracula came into being
Near dark - overshadowed as it came out the same time as lost boys.
Dogma - Avoid if you are religious as it could come across as offensive.
Rock n rolla - often disregarded when put next to lock stock and snatch, I also enjoyed Guy Ritches King Arthur. |
