That you feel you should like, but don't?
I can't get onboard with peanut butter. I've tried to enjoy it but it's way too claggy and the flavour is too strong. |

"Pumpkin Spice Lattes.
I don't understand the fascination with them. I wish my palate was more accommodating and I would drink copious amounts just to fit in."
Just to fit in. Awww Nero.
Olives for me. They always look sophisticated and kind of cool. I always regret them and then have to politely smile through my urge to vomit. |

They're not though. I'm going to have smile and politely eat them whilst in Italy.
Oh apparently if you eat something enough you grow accustomed to the taste? Might try that. |

I know party tricks with olives that might make you see them differently… |

Sushi
I wish I liked it. It looks so good! I’m always tempted to buy it but I know it’ll end up in the bin because I don’t like it, I’ve even tried it twice just to be sure. |

Aiyee.
I conceptually understand why people like it. I understand why it goes with certain foods.
But it's been established that some of us can't eat it. (Well. I can. It just tastes like hand soap to people like me. I am physiologically capable of eating it, it's not like an allergy, but it kind of ruins my food. Even stuff that's supposed to have it. Please. Put it to one side so I can leave it there) |

Le Big Mac.
For some reason I cannot fathom, every now and then I think I want a Big Mac. I don't like them. I never finish eating it. I always wonder why I just bought it and what I thought would be different this time. I drive home feeling dirty and somehow used. I'm not loving it, but I keep coming back for more. What a clown. |

Whiskey. I'd like to lbe able to be a real man and chat about good single malts and shit, but it's not for me.
See also: cheese. But I can eat enough of that so as not to be an embarrassment at dinner parties. |

"About once a year I tell myself I should like olives, they can't be as bad as I remember.
And about once a year I immediately retch that slimy salty death ball right out and into the bin."
Me too. Once past market stall all different olives.. Bought some. Like you spat those salty balls out even if wrapped with meat |

Ditto, I find them quite unharmonious to my palate.

I can't stomach raw tomatoes, which is really inconvenient as they're in so much. I try every so often to be a grown up and try them again, but they literally make me retch every time. |

Another for olives I had some hidden in a meal the other week and I just couldn't finish it, I wish I could eat them as they look so nice when they're laid out with meats and sundried toms and peppers in a tapas spread

Same.
Also, as a guy that very much enjoys social binge drinking I inexplicably hate whiskey and just the slightest whiff of sambuca makes me gag |

Oh god, I've had several fry ups at eateries where they've been liberal with the stuff - it's ruined whatever they douse it with! |

Does it taste like soap to you? Because that's a genetic thing apparently, I don't like coriander either |

I live in Spain.
We grow billions of olives.
How anything that takes three months work to make it taste slightly better than a tramps armpit can be so popular escapes me.
Vile.
The oil however has many uses, not all of them culinary. Although it tastes better afterwards. Just saying. |

Spanish olives are not great.
Try Kalamata olives , it’s like eating meat. |

"Water, I want to like it but I don't, has to be juice.
Mrs "
I used to be like this, but started drinking water consistently to point where if I haven't had it in a while and have a glass, I think it's the best tasting thing in the world! |
