Is it better with near strangers or people you know?
Regardless of if you're a single or not.
Is it harder to organise one where two women need to get along or with two men?
I'd always think getting two guys with the right dynamic would be harder than getting two women.
What do you think? What have you experienced?

All depends on the person / people involved
Ie someone times strangers is best as there isn’t worry that one will catch feels or such
Ie if it’s people you know then one could get jealous or something at least with strangers your really not going to get that
Also better with people that you know as with strangers sometimes you can feel like a play toy if it’s people you know your not going to get that feeling like you do with strangers at all

My introduction to swinging was a threesome with two girls.
I think it needs at least two of the three to already know each other. They then have to welcome and encourage the third.

I think it depends on the people. I've had 3somes of both kinds, some with 1 friend/ 1 stranger and some with 2 friends. They all worked ok. Maybe I just got lucky.
The only weird situation was a woman who got a bit attached to my man mate.

I've had quite a few threesomes. I'm bi so I occasionally meet couples and I've had some amazing times. Finding the right couple is key though. Finding a couple who have a very happy secure relationship and who treat me right and not just as a play thing for their own wants and needs is important. It has to be about all 3 of us. My first experience with Fab was with a couple on fab where I was the third and it went very well - along with a very brief and last appearance on cams.

OP I think it depends on what you want. Most (all?) of the threesomes I have had have been with couples. I have always been the third.
If you are organising as the F then I think you need to decide if you like the anonymity of people you have never met before or if you want the security/knowledge that at least one of them will turn up and they actually turn you on.
I would suggest your biggest issue is actually getting people to turn up - too many people like the idea of group sex but then bottle it when it actually comes time to meet. Go with people you have met or have veris that show they meet. |

Personally I think it’s better if you get to know them first. I’ve had a threesome with someone I didn’t know very well and it just wasn’t as good of an experience. If the other people also know each other a little before it’s better, I think everyone can be a lot more comfortable around each other then. |

We have limited experience with threesomes. Mainly limited by opportunity (busy lifes) but also really hard to find the right third. I guess we sound fussy but we just want something that flows completely naturally where all parties just lose themselves in the moment.
I'd not sure if strangers v people you know is one better than the other per se. I think it's more just an individual case by case thing. There is a logic to being with people you know well. However in our own (limited) experience spontaneous encounters with people we've met that night have worked better.
As to if two females or two males make the best threesome that's hard for us to judge because finding the right male third seems to be the most illusive thing. For all the males on the scene the right male for us seems to be the most difficult unicorn for us to find. We've had more success finding ladies that work for us than guys. Our best threesome experience was years ago when we had a wonderful lady we'd met earlier at a party say in our room for the night (even though she was booked in another room). We just spent the whole night together messing around, laughing and cuddling. It was just the effortless, carefree, natural, free love sort of night we love. Only down side was we got no sleep all night. We would like a lot more of that with ladies and gents but that chemistry is hard to find. |

I've definitely found arranging 2 guys more difficult. As a single girl it's kind of easy to find couples. But 2 guys who will do it the way I want it... bit tricky. Only time I managed it was finding a pair of friends on here. 2 strangers would be much harder I think. |

It seems to be that over the last 5 years the men I have known wouldn't have been in the same room with the other guy I expressed an interest in with me.
Trust me I made plenty of suggestions.

Kinda leaves me feeling I need lookalikes and almost identical guys in all ways to pull it off.

Just to point out that not all men are into mfm (evident on this thread too). Of course if someone's not comfortable with something or doesn't really desire it there will be issues at every turn.
