It's a simple one. What's made you smile/happy recently? It can be big, little. What's brought you joy?
A dress arrived this morning. It's a bit too big for me. Considering it's a zip one and made from a material that doesn't give? I'm over the moon. I'm almost half the woman I once was. And I'm so happy. |

The sunny day, windows down while driving, feeling the wind in my hair, and listening to an folk playlist. I usually reserve the folk playlists for autumn but I’m feeling it today! |

Aw Meli that’s amazing! Massive achievement that you should be so proud of!
I reached out to some friends who I dog sit for and I’ve arranged to “borrow” their dog for a weekend. Whenever I feel a bit shitty I need to spend time with dogs. Don’t ask me why! I can’t describe it. It just makes me happy he’s a little fluff ball and looks like an Ewok |

I got stereo headphones £27 cheaper than currys sold me a pair and not just that i asked the sales assistant for a pair with a long lead and trusted that he got me a pair with a long lead, they didn't have a lead or a port to plug a lead into and when they were returned the guy tried to sell me a pair for £80 so i saved £68 happy days |

Extreme weather yesterday. Watching my daschund bark at the sky thinking he can scare the storm away. He does it all the time when the sky starts darkening and the wind pics up. |

My mum sent me a top tier text yesterday that amused me greatly.

He’s worried he will end up as a windsock or a weather vane.. |

I am massively struggling with a bad back at the moment retuned to work yesterday after being off for almost 3 weeks (bad idea)
Got home yesterday evening in utter agony close to tears, flopped onto the lounge floor to just lay on the floor.
Our lovely puddy cat came running downstairs and struggled upto me purring and just being a lovely break from the pain.
She really helped, when I had COVID in 2020 and was extremely unwell she barely left my side and for three weeks only left to go to toilet and eat n drink.
Once I was back on my feet she knew I was ok she went back to her normal routine.
Bless her xx |

"My youngest speaking Welsh to me this morning, whilst making Malteaser millionaire shortbread. The kids normally reply back in English, so this is quite rare. "
Oh that's so lovely! Please send photos of the shortbread, it'll make a difference from our usual... more risqué photos. Which reminds me - that recommendation? Perfect. Thank you. |

"A lovely conversation with my little niece earlier.
She views the world in such a delightfully magical way, completely untainted by the cynicism that we as adults typically adopt "
Adorable. There's a certain innocence and appreciation which is so lovely to see. I hope there are many more smile inducing moments like those. |

Yes please
I don’t care about the hair! That’s very insignificant while I’m in a canine bubble! |

My youngest (9) called me on Saturday and asked if I was busy and if not, did I want to go for a coffee...
She'd borrowed her mums phone to do so and I still thought they were on holiday, so a somewhat pleasant surprise.
I did go and it was lovely and after coffee she decided she was coming back to mine for dinner.
I smiled lots, though strangely a little sad as well... not just taking her back but, how quick she suddenly seems to be growing up. |

Malteser millionaire shortbread is enough to underwrite happiness by itself. (And Malteaser millionaire shortbread sounds like the mischievous Fab equivalent...)
Currently? Have been oddly delighted by persisting in summer walks despite the drenching rain. After long hours indoors getting outside in any weather is immediately cheering.
Also, some of the photos on here are decidedly happiness inducing too. |
