And that secret third thing is…Go To The Mirror sung by Jack Nicholson, Roger Daltrey, Ann Margret and Oliver Reed

Any other Who fans go insane when they listen to the Tommy OST? It’s one of the greatest OST’s of all time, if not the greatest

Anyone else have songs that just make them go absolutely feral?

My gender is whatever Roger Daltrey was doing in 1970 fr fr

Both this and quadrophenia.

Absolute masterclass.

Stockport

It is a fabulous movie, but so long since I saw it. Going to have to see what rock musicals I can find on Amazon or Netflix now.

Somewhere In The Ether…

I have to shamefully admit that the film scared the hell out me as a child; not least of all the scenes wherein Tommy is subjected to various cruel tortures (including being scolded with an iron!) at the hands of Paul Nicholas’s character.

There are some very dark parts to the album and film. I too was terrified when I first saw the film Tommy. I was quite young.

The songs fiddle about starts I’m you’re wicked uncle Ernie…it gives me the shudders as does cousin Kevin mentioned above.

I actually prefer quadrophenia. It’s a fantastic album with some real quality music that I predict will still be appreciated many many years from now, and that’s considering that the album is just about to turn 50 years old!
