In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon

Following a discussion with someone who may no longer be a friend because I have to reassess due to his weirdo views on bacon...

Which do you prefer? Back bacon because it is the only sensible choice, or streaky bacon because you have something very wrong with you?

I'm totally being judgey, because it is bacon ffs. I am sorry for bri g judgey though

Also, anyone who doesn't eat bacon... more power to you, but this isn't about the evils of bacon so much. Weirdos.

All bacon has a place.

For example:

- Smoked back for a bacon butty.

- Smoked streaky for chopping and adding to an amatriciana sauce.

- Unsmoked streaky for throwing in the bin, or selling to the Americans.

Any bacon is better than any vegetable.

But unsmoked back is best. I eat streaky when I need to up my fats.

On the cruise I was just on, all the Americans were loving the English bacon and leaving their streaky stuff.

In return, I ate a tonne of scrambled eggs with "white cheese".

No idea but it was lovely.

Sorry, you're all very very wrong. The Aussie cut of Bacon is the supreme king.

Long full eye-to-tail "middle cut" rashers of dry-cured, thick slice, firm, rind on, rosy pink flesh, white fat that renders perfectly and crispy, not pumped full of bacon flavoured water... *drooooooooool*
