"I judge people wearing dressing gowns in the street. I know it has no effect on me. But STILL!

I don't think that I have ever seen someone in a dressing gown in the street.

I used to love going to Tesco at 02.00 or 03.00 in the morning, when it was empty except for the insomniacs and mum's walking around trying to get their babies to sleep. Did not judge people turning up in their PJs.

I do judge drivers who go through pedestrian crossings when I am crossing the road with my dog - more than judge, significant amount of abuse and gesticulating!

Littering, particularly when there's a bin a short distance away

All sorts of fashion choices (I don't say anything, I just note it and amuse myself)

I went out in my dressing gown this morning, the cat was yowling at the whole street loudly, it was either I go out and stop her or the street has to listen to her. So I stopped her

If they want to judge me for it, they can, it tells me more about them than they saying about me, doesn’t it

Besides they’re all air bnb so I give no flying what they think tbh

There's things I am judgey on and others I'm not.

If someone does something wrong. Drops litter, dog mess, the things not accepted by society.

However, I don't judge people for their individuality. What you wear, what you do, who you sleep with, what you believe, what you eat, colour, hair style...

Are none of my business. If I like you, I like you for who you are.

We all judge or perhaps on many cases just disassociate. Some I can think of are people who are loud and inconsiderate how their behaviour affects others whether in public places or as neighbours. People who think you should be driving at the speed they want you to. Those waiting at the till behind you and have no social skills to know you should not breath at someone's neck unless in an intimate situation. There are quote a few more but as anything else what bothers one person is not always what bothers another

I am very judgy on one thing in particular.

The won't work people. Please do not confuse this with can't work due to medical condition, caring for family or young children. No, what I hate ate people who have no reason not to work, but still don't, and live on benefits.

Drives me nuts. I have been working since I was 16. Not a single gap in employment. If I was ever out of work my first priority would be to take any job, rather than sit about waiting on the right job

I LOVE my crocs. Superlightweight when packing for travel. They float. They're comfy. Quick to dry. Easy to clean.

But I'm not a sociopath, and anyone who says I am goes on a very detailed revenge list with horrendous outcomes for them.

And I feel no shame in my crocs or the list.

Yep I judge those who lie or use others .

Also anyone who hurts animal/older people or children .

We all judge others,it's human nature. Many do seem to like to use judge as an insult though when they don't like another's opinion.

I agree judging is a part of human nature.

Not all things natural are automatically good though.

Some of it is about people not conforming to our belief systems. I Judge people for expecting others to do that.

Genuine question and ironically for a thread about judging, I'm not actually judging you, just keen to understand.

Do you really have less compassion for say, an adult victim of domestic violence? Or a woman who is stranger r@aped while walking home. What about victims of genocide and war?

Honestly, I'm not trying to start an argument, but wonder why you put some people and even animals on a higher pedestal than others?

No there are lots of people I'd judge for things, including those you've suggested. They just came to mind as I see them as unable to defend themselves as much as others.

If I listed everything that made me judge/sick I'd probably be here a while .

It's not a case of putting anyone/thing on a pedestal.Im a big animal lover & I guess I get fed up of seeing constant cruelty.

Maybe we might judge differently depending on what we regularly see online and social media etc .

I despise any type of bullying or needless violence to anyone regardless of gender /age etc.

Hope that helps

I'm judgey. As a trauma survivor, my brain goes "is this person a threat or no threat...or I trust this person or I wouldn't trust this person right now even if my life depended on it."

that's about it. Therapy made me not care about the rest. People can do what they want as long as they do not directly harm me. If they make me emotionally unbalanced then, I'm well within my rights to avert my eyes, cover my ears, hold my nose, decline to taste and swallow and remove myself from their presence.

Dunno if I judge that kind of thing necessarily. I'd maybe feel a bit sorry for them as they can't have a great deal of self respect...which is quite a judgey thing to say I suppose.

I do judge people based on how they treat their children though. We can all have a bad day and lose the rag but I've been close to drop kicking some cunts across the car park when I've heard how horrible they can be to their kids out shopping for example.

Do you judge?

Judgement can be assessment (in relation to yourself and perfectly permissible - ie preferences) or it can be condemnation. Silent condemnation is harmless, ie you keep it to yourself. Verbalise it and someone may conden you

….See, no way am I trying on that decidedly coarse looking dudes shoes; he might have veruccas or some similarly highly contagious fungal infection. Not only that, but I’ve seen those shoes on eBay - they’re clearly knock offs….

I get ask for my professional judgement all the time & I make assessments & decisions all the time but I think ‘Judgy’ means seeing someone do something - wearing pyjamas in a supermarket or not picking up dog shit - and letting your mind create a scenario about them and why they did it.

Some people might need that ,but it’s certainly not human nature

Me taking out the trash, in my dressing gown on the street in Wandsworth at 6am because the council refused to give us residents rubbish bins, only to be confronted by all my neighbours trash that they put out the night before when they come home in their work clothes that the foxes got into overnight..... Nah while they are judging me in my dressing gown..I'm judging all the trash in the street..Lol!

They can't be arsed to give us bins. They can't be arsed to not put food in their rubbish bags and put the rubbish out at 6am. The foxes can't be arsed to leave it all alone and I can't be arsed to get out of my dressing gown. Lol!

I could judge what to wear to suit myself of I could write complaint letters to all the neighbours and the council...I know which one has a much better outcome for me....keeping my dressing gown on...unless they want a naked protest...

I really do try not to judge as you never know what is going on in people's lives, but yes I do find myself judging when I see people in McDonald's in their pyjamas. I really can't think of any reason not to be in clothes.
