"Shibari.
I have no patience for learning knots.
Plus learning would make me even more of an asshole when it comes to slipping out of them."
I would also like to learn this, mostly as it's something that Luna really enjoys but lack the patience to learn it.

Bedford (or anywhere beginning with B..!?) |
A foreign language properly...
... too many choices when at school, now too many different countries for work, so know snippets in several languages, but nothing to a full decent extent...
Just never enough time |

I'd love to learn cello. Beautiful instrument.
I'd really love to be fluent in Italian. I know basic bits for several languages but I'd love to be fluent in one.
Calligraphy would be wonderful.
And I'd really like to learn how to bake bread from scratch. I'm an okay cook, baking is a bit hit and miss. |

I took a very brief introduction to sign language course once and I was amazed by it. Unfortunately I never have had the chance to put it into practise or to develop it but would love to learn more about it. Definitely a skill you lose if you don’t keep it up |

You have to start training your arms, especially if you’re gonna tackle wholemeal, with a real yeast, that’s some workout. |

I’d love to learn a foreign language; French - it flows so beautifully.
JamieD - Sign language is an incredible skill to learn. Was it Makaton or else BSL you undertook?
I know a few signs but nothing really more than introducing myself and idle commenting on the weather |

It was BSL, my company ran a day course in it to help us better communicate with customers but I never got the chance to put it into practise. I really wish I’d kept it up , it was fascinating |

How to sew / use a sewing machine. I have so many ideas for clothes I could make but just know it’ll be hard work learning.
Ride a motorbike - Didn’t pass my car test until the 6th attempt so I’m not even going to attempt a motorbike.
Playing the drums - just lack of space and my youngest wouldn’t tolerate the noise.
Take up pottery - lack of time, but I really want to try this. |

To drive. I just make lots of excuses up as to why I don't.
To play the violin. I'm just too lazy.
Dichroic glass jewellery. I'll be ticking this one off soon once I've finished my stained glass window course. |

Crochet.
I intended to learn in the first lockdown, as I didn't realise how busy my work would become and wrongly assumed I'd have lots of free time.
When everything opened up again I'm busy with other stuff, so the ball of wool and the hook are in the back of a junk drawer, unused.
I don't want to do anything outrageously complex, just be able to do a granny square. |
