I forgot about my tea...

Twice already. I don't like cold tea.

Name something you forget regularly.

If you can remember that is.

I quite often forget why I walked into a room. Walk back out and then remember.

Sometimes I forget what I've forgot until I remember that I was wandering aimlessly to begin with. Just did it now in the woods.

Buy an Ember Mug if it happens often. Wasted tea or coffee is a devastation no one should face

My own little world

I like to forget that I locked my door when I leave the house

Plays on my mind to extent I then have to go back to check to realise that no I indeed didn't forget to lock it

Even in my capacity as a Sugar Daddy I would have to think twice about buying one.

See, I don’t do that but I do fill the teapot and then forget about it. So I go back to the kitchen later and there’s the teapot keeping warm with teabags still in it and horribly over-stewed tea. And I still haven’t had a cuppa but now I’ve been reminded and suddenly I want one again.

The doorway effect is a thing. Something about short term memory and change of environment.

A few years back I changed my car and I would walk away forgetting about keys, locking or any such foolishness.

I forget faces, always have.

The forgetting what one has walked into a room for (to do) actually has a scientific name, The Door Way Effect.

I often experience Lethonomia, the temporary forgetting of a persons name; ‘Yeah, I watched John Wick the other night starring…..er…..that guy from Bill and Ted…..er……’

I keep forgetting about Dre as well tbh.

I keep forgetting tea and coffee. I’ve started using the microwave to reheat it. When I open the microwave I usually find the wheat bag heat pack I forgot I’d zapped up.

A few regulars are

Where my keys are

Why I went upstairs/into a room

Where I put down whatever hand tool I’m using at work down (2 sons spend half the shift looking for stuff I put down and forget where is haha)

To turn the oven on after putting something in

To check on the tetties boiling in a pan

I could never forget to eat food that’s there though haha

I sometimes... Oh, hang on, what was the question? I'm sure I was going to say something. Nah, not coming to me. Maybe later. Was it a tea or a coffee? Anybody know how many sugars I take? Yes, it was probably Thursday...

Sipping from a cold cup of tea by mistake is yeuch.

Letting a cup of tea grow cold, on the other hand, is lovely. I've probably made it to distract myself from something else I should be doing. If it's gone cold, I've probably been productive. Result! Plus, as a bonus, as soon as I notice I've got an excuse to take a break (well earned, for a change) and make another cup.
