"The walking dead and game of thrones
I never actually watched them to the end because I got bored half way through. "
That last season of Game of Thrones still upsets me to this day.. thankfully then”new” spin-off wasn’t too bad |

I gave up on the Walking Dead too, sort of good early on, then no thanks "
The first 2 sesons were good then it felt like it was just repeating itself. I can’t believe they manage to drag 11 seasons out of it. |

Probably should have been killed off a decade ago

Agree, everything before Mike skully took over as exec producer was gold, then it went to shit so fast under him and rebounded a bit but nothing close to what it was |

The first 2 were good, but then it just got so boring, and now they're doing spin off shows from it. |

"Only Fools and Horses. The longer special episodes weren't as good as the earlier episodes." ...a bit harsh..I thought the lost watch was good and batman/Robin scene was hilarious

"What tv show started brilliantly then ended poorly? I'll start with
True blood
Heros
Lost"
Absolutely agree!
Heroes - Season one was amazing.
Season two just seemed to nose dive and I gave up.
True Blood was good until the last two seasons I felt.
Killing off Alcide?! Then killing off Bill?!!

" I do too but it should have ended once they became rich. For me it dipped when Racquel and Cassandra appeared more prominently. The Miami bit was dull. Overall, I think the show evolved as most do and tried to do too much, trying to be bigger thus veering away from its roots. |

I know I think they've decided to give every main character their own spin off show! |

"Walking dead, I just can't even be arsed to watch the last series.
" agree. Battled through a few later seasons but just don’t have the energy to bother anymore. As previously said, line of duty, lame ending, totally ruined the series for me. |

The X-Files.
David Duchovny hardly appeared in the final seasons of the original run (although I did really like his replacement, played by the always superb, Robert Patrick) and killing off the lovable, Lone Gunmen was a terrible idea. The final episode additionally, was really, really bad to.
And so it was finally laid to rest….until it reappeared a few years ago for two more decidedly underwhelming seasons (bar one or two episodes that harked back to the shows former glory).
A real shame.
The films were poor to! |

I’ve just remembered another contender: The Affair, starring Dominic West and Ruth Wilson.
This steamy series was essential watching when it first aired but by the latter seasons, it sadly seemed to completely run out of steam and the writers were clearly struggling, trying to come up with ideas to keep it going.
The finale was admittedly rather sweet but the series had very obviously run for far longer than it should have. |
