Why do people read profiles?

No, I am not taking the piss out of the other thread... but it did remind me of something.

I have been told I am odd because I rarely look at any of the forum user profiles just because they are forum users.

I don't always look at forum user profiles if I am chatting to them in pvt... though most of the time I will with people I talk to. But I very rarely feel any urge to look just because they use the forum.

Is it really such an odd thing?

Do you look at profiles just because they have posted something?

Mostly NO ..... until they say something : prophetic, astounding , interesting , twatty , idiotic or just plain provocative...... OR if they are very sexy.
