Now on Netflix.

Started watching the first episode late yesterday and couldn't turn it off til I'd binged the whole series.

Epically brilliant and I've no idea how she manages to keep a straight face.

And I really felt for each and every expert being interviewed too. Some absolutely genius questions asked, especially to the Americans.

Priceless.

Somewhere In The Ether…

Would it be crass to state here that I really fancy Diane Morgan?

I absolutely love Diane Morgan in anything I've seen her in; Cunk, Motherland, After Life... I think she's brilliant and oh so sexy. I know, weird taste, I've been told.

Diane Morgan is the master of deadpan! Another Charlie Brooker winner.

One of the history experts they used was one of my daughter's lecturers. I've tried, to no avail, to find out how much warning they're given about her batshit crazy questions.

I'm going to spend hours rewatching it to nick quotes for use on here.

Just started rewatching episode 1 now.

Her description as she talks you through daily life in a medieval castle is bloody brilliant. I know she hasn't written it, but her delivery is a scream!

I'd love to know how staged the expertists reactions and answers are.

I'd like to think they are genuine and honest but for there to be only single takes I find it hard to believe.

You can see some straining not to piss themselves laughing. I suspect some may have taken more than one take but the look on some of their faces is priceless. I really don't think they all knew what was coming. Much like Borat interviews.

Never heard of this before and just watched a few YouTube clips. Hilarious…..

She was brilliant in Afterlife, and I felt so sad for her character as I think everyone knows someone like that..

She's brilliant and in one of the episodes, she referenced a specific area, which happened to be the area we lived in at the time. Really tickled us

And the American guy.

"They have the right to bear arms?"

"Correct"

"But bears don't have arms"

"They do actually"

"Oh do they? I though they were legs"

"Well I'm not a biologist, erm, but I suppose when they stand up they're probably arms"

She’s fantastic in Motherland. Some of the other actors play genuinely harrowing parts and play them well, her performance keeps the whole thing balanced.

Fabulous writing too.

Pretty sure that was Nicholas Cage.

Terrible film.
