I ask as someone cut and pasted the cut and paste on my profile and crafted a beautiful respose based on it!

I find the most common confirmation of the suspicion is "What do you mean copy paste?"

I can tell if someone is trying to connect with me personally. Anything else may as well be a copy paste even if they type it our especially every time.

I set out very clearly in my profile what I’m looking for, yet gets lots of ‘I’ve read your profile and you seem right up my street’ kind of messages from people are definitely not what I’ve said I’d like. This tells me they definitely haven’t it and are just firing out messages.

Cut and paste messages seem common for introductory messages.

Not actually against cut and paste intro. If people have got a good intro that explains them well then why not use it?

However this on its own is not very effective. It tell us about you but what about us, why are you intrested in us? So it kind of also needs a bit tjat is bespoke in addition that is specific to us and why your messaging. Let us know that the intrest is genuine and reasoned rather than just part of a lazy scatter shot pull anything campaign.

But if I'm a woman I'd only reply to messages thar are personalised, maybe mention a pic or something in my profile.

I couldn't care less if it's a cut and paste. If I'm interested, I'll reply if I'm not I won't. The initial message isn't as important as the photos and the profile. Is the conversation that comes from the initial message that leads to anything. After all until there's established attraction on both sides, what's the point of making unnecessary effort for either side.

If I see a long profile, I know it will have a part in it, where it asks me to include a certain word in my message subject to prove I've read their profile. I don't read the full profile I just simply scroll to the bottom where I know that word will be and add it into my subject. If people really wanted to filter out, those who read their profile, they should move that keyword to a random place in it, not place it at the bottom, where everybody does. Lol

Often they are obvious, other times it's hilarious the message was initially typed out to someone else previously, and sometimes it's a surprise to find the really short message was a copy and paste, learning it to be the case when they return with the same again and again.

We try not to block, though sometimes it leads that way.

I have one guy on here that sends exactly the same message, identical punctuation and spelling mistakes (obviously a copy and paste message) a couple of times a month.

I replied no thanks the first couple of times, now I just delete it.

He is not deleting his thread so I see all the messages everytime he sends it, we are currently on 23 times. I could block but I'm intrigued as to how long he'll keep it up for.
