That's when duplicating content or things like user names can be dangerous. If you can see what linked them, maybe change it up a bit, or change location. |

Creepy as fuck!! To me, that says “I know things about you that aren’t on fab.” It must be a power thing, to demonstrate they know your home town and certain things about your private life.

Why is that creepy? People are perfectly entitled to maintain a fab account just so they can participate in the forums. As it happens, the OP has clearly taken steps to protect herself but wishes to discuss it with fellow forum friends.
I’d suggest you can probably discount yourself from that group. |

different folks I guess. I don't see that as creepy at all. More understandable.
For me, it's all down to the how.
If i match with someone I believe is on fab, I will let them know because I think it's a bit crap to have asymmetry on knowledge. Something like "just to let you know, we are both in fab, so I will let you do with that what you want".
But only if matched.
I'd not do it via fab. Nor take screenshots. Especially if not matched.
I'm happy to try and match with ppl on vanilla sites as I'd ideally date someone who's enm. If you are here just to fuck, id say swipe left.

It's no different to sending someone a message saying you know who they are in the outside world or one that says 'I saw you in asda today'.
Creepy. As. Fuck.
It's massively disrespectful and an invasion of privacy.
We all have lives in the outside world. Families. Jobs. Friends.
We're all entitled to keep the two lives separate and encroaching on that and blurring the lines between the two is solely the choice of the individual profile owner - not some random, faceless person on the internet.
Totally indiscreet, totally disrespectful and totally wrong.
Report whoever did it.

It's creepy and feels horrible. Over the years it's happened to me a few times. Messages here about those profiles or messages there about this one.
Thankfully swiftly blocking these people has resolved it.
It does leave you feeling quite vulnerable though. |
