Hello all hope you're having a lovely day in this weather

I wanted to speak about the way a person presents their profile shouldn't it be half about themselves and also what they are looking for in others that wish to have a sexy encounter with?

A gentleman winked at me and has given me a shock his profile speaks of himself on a high pedal stood

Saying he's been a gift for hen parties, the surprise for the Mrs and he even said he's been the cause of 4 divorces unfortunately and he's not for the faint hearted or jealous

To me that is screaming I think I'm God's gift to women

Yes I'd run from that one personally, there's confidence and over confidence the latter for me is hugely off-putting.

I've just gone with a general laugh on my profile. Most are put off, some get it.

Profiles are a window into how you wish to be seen however some humble brags about prowess are inevitable...

Do not touch this man with a ten foot pole. If he somehow thinks it's an accolade to break up marriages, then he's best avoided.

See lots of posts asking for advice on profiles.

I'm guessing have a look at others (not that they are given any 5* reviews ! ).

But boasting about 4 x divorces !

Does that mean 4 x proposals as well? Same ring?

You're free to feel whatever way you want to about the profile. Without any of us actually seeing it I don't think any of us can give a valid opinion of though. It could be written with tongue firmly in cheek and it's just a mismatch of sense of humor, it could be fantasist bs, or it could be true, who knows? I certainly don't.

Profile are there to see the vibe of someone. So in this case it worked perfectly, their vibe is absolutely not for you, or anyone I imagine.

There's no set way to do a profile, just do it in the way that you think represents you well.

I'm more drawn to profiles with good photography and have a strong sense of personality in them.

If it works for them I wouldn’t care what someone puts in their profile.

When I had my singles profile it wasn’t too everyone’s tastes but it attracted the people I wanted too and that is all that matters

I think you should take a piece of your own advice with the forums also.

You neither I gets to tell a person what to post and not post a thread about.

If a thread is not to your taste move on, you don't have to comment against it if your not with it.

You made that choice

It's not common I come across a person who displays such arrogance, I stated a man boasting about 4 divorces he is proud he caused and there you are with such nonsense "It's up to an individual what they post"

Everything OK with you on your side?

I think you may have misunderstood what I have typed. I haven't questioned what has happened to you, what you have seen or accused you of making anything up.

All I was trying to so say is that no one knows the exact context of which the profile was written other than the author themselves. Everyone can have an opinion on the profile, you have stated your opinion and your opinion is as valid as anyone elses. I haven't stated an opinion on it, simply because I haven't seen it myself to form my own opinion.

You

seem to have formed an opinion of what type of person I am through a few typed sentences even though you don't know me. You have every right to do so. I would say I'm the type of person who is open minded. Willing to listen to other people's points of veiw. Accepts that people have the free will to do as they please. I'm far from perfect, I can accept that I can get things wrong or misundtand others but I do try to learn from that. Sometimes my instinct are right, sometimes they are wrong, but I'll always reserve judgement on people until I've seen things from their point of veiw.

You can agree or disagree with anything I have typed, that's your perogative, just as it is your perogative to take what I'm trying to say the way I have intended it to be or the way you see it yourself. Anyway, I hope you are having a good day, and all the other people here are too!

That's fine

I'm mindful in how I speak to a person if I make first point of contact first.

I don't judge people however they we speak and treat a person leaves an impression by what they choose to show

That is what can be spoken of and usually is.

In life we can say what we please but not HOW we please without being self aware of how it can come over that is ignorance and lack of empathy for others.

If you would like, I can message you this person who I spoke of but I will not paste his username on the thread.

Enjoy your day too thank you xx

I don't think the thing you describe is a good look in general.

But it depends on what you're trying to achieve. My profile is about me plus a joke, but given what I'm clearly looking for (it's in the header, it's two words, it's not hard), I feel it's appropriate under the circumstances, and matches the image I'm trying to present.

The rule do say something about discussing profiles, saying that it doesn't name them is weak. Whether its the rules or not, it's disrespectful. How would the OP or anyone feel if they came across the thread where their profile was brought up and mocked. Yeah, there's rules and there's somethings that are just decency. Treat others as you wish to be treated.

If you find content in a profile you don't like, big deal. The profile content is irrelevant here, it's the action of sharing for mockery and derision.

"I actually thought this thread may be removed.

I can't comment on the profile because I haven't seen it for myself.

I'm intrigued though and want to see it.

Why would the thread be removed?

Have I body shamed? Discriminated him?

I'm speaking of a profile that is very dis tasteful

As previously said you can have a private message but I wouldn't paste his name in the thread xx

I just feel it may be testing the rules is all, after having a read through them again.

The thread was not made to mock it was to gain clarification a profile is to carry out an impression and to represent ourselves.

I laugh with others not at others so if you can't comprehend my thread that's nothing to do with me.

Its wrong of you to take a person's thread completely out of context and dictate their intentions to mean opposite so take a leaf out of your own book instead of jumping to conclusions gain clarity on a person's intentions and reasons for something they have carried out

Everyone handles things differently to others and from your perspective it may look wrong until you see and understand their own

I'm not here to test anything

I was shocked to see a profile displayed in the way that is was and asked isn't the whole purpose about showing the kind of person you are and what you are looking for?

Others on this thread have dismissed I stated it was a profile which shocked me and have tries to turn into me trying to laugh at a person

Two complete different things but if a person doesn't understand something and doesn't ask questions for clarification they understand what an OP has said better to say nothing than falsely accuse a person of something

"I don't think the thing you describe is a good look in general.

But it depends on what you're trying to achieve. My profile is about me plus a joke, but given what I'm clearly looking for (it's in the header, it's two words, it's not hard), I feel it's appropriate under the circumstances, and matches the image I'm trying to present."

Exactly it's dependent on what a person was trying to achieve.

If people look at what I originally posted they will see I said I was shocked to come across a profile like that and also asked isn't a profile also supposed to show what someone is looking for in others.

What's wrong in requesting clarity and displaying concern or shock?

"Hello all hope you're having a lovely day in this weather

I wanted to speak about the way a person presents their profile shouldn't it be half about themselves and also what they are looking for in others that wish to have a sexy encounter with?

A gentleman winked at me and has given me a shock his profile speaks of himself on a high pedal stood

Saying he's been a gift for hen parties, the surprise for the Mrs and he even said he's been the cause of 4 divorces unfortunately and he's not for the faint hearted or jealous

To me that is screaming I think I'm God's gift to womenyes a pedal stood or stationary bike are not for the faint hearted, egotistical people aren't common here but obviously do exist, to say you've been instrumental in the breakdown of 4 marriages is a little ott mind, i mean who would consider him very few me thinks "

thank you for going to the top of the page.

Hopefully people who claim to treat others as they wish to be treated and have some level of intelligence will see the post doesn't laugh at the profile it's showing pure shock

Its wrong in all ways to take a person's words out of context and also try to twist the context too

I suspect it would depend on how identifiable the profile is and whether there's a risk that you're indirectly shaming them in a way that's not anonymous enough. (I'm not saying you have or you haven't, I'm just saying why people might have a problem)

People like to find faults and jump to conclusions too much instead of seeing something for what it is.

Assumptions are what people often do yet don't like it done to themselves

The profile can not be recognised its not a profile that uses the forums and theirs hundreds of users on here

The pictures are not described, people just like to complain instead of empathise and show understanding or ask for understanding

I think people should be able to write whatever they want on their profile without being ridiculed about it. As I prefer to see a true representation of that person and what they want others to see. It makes it easier to either interact or avoid them.

I've seen people on here who have had profiles that are a massive red flag as they are into things I avoid like the plague, get absolutely slated because of their profile,so they changed it to a way more sanitised one which is the complete opposite of what they actually wanted from fab. Luckily I use notes so I won't forget.

But why others feel the need to point out what they see that they don't like is beyond me. Just make a note, block or at very least just move and forget about them and concentrate on others that you do like. It makes everyone's journey so much easier I find.

I feel that my profile gives a cruelly honest picture of myself, the bad and the good. The oldest part of it is an attempt at self description and details of what I was then hoping to get from the site. To this I have gradually added annual or biannual "diary" type notes which show how my expectations have changed, and hint at the soul aches that I feel.

It's probably anything but a self-promotion piece, it doesn't make any false promises. I hope though that it will allow people to gain a realistic view of what I am like as a person. Hugs, Polly xxx

Why would you need to see the profile instead of just responding to what is said :/ grown people know what they are talking we're not kids that need a grown person to see a make sure the child is being truthful :/

I wouldn't do that to anyone and it's quite amazing some people here take a person's words out of context and make them seem as a person who is laughing at a person

If someone is shocked by a presented profile to them they can be kmt

Hugs pills back my profile shows the annoyance of those who have dismissed things stated on my profile and the amount of people that waste time and also don't care how they come across.

If a person wants to get ignorant with me then I can go there too.

Also if a person is civil respectful and just kind natured we will last a lifetime.

Are you asking for profile advice or just stating you don't get messages ?

I wouldn't say anyone is ugly but I am sure you have attracted women, you wouldn't be every woman's type which should be ok

Isn't it best to attract those you genuinely attract rather than a person that leads others on and who in the long term wastes your time ?

Thank you but I perfectly understand what a forum is about and I gave my opinion on it,just like everyone else who posts on here.

I didn't tell anyone how to behave. I said I don't understand why people have to point out what others have on their profiles just because they don't like or agree with it.

Of course people are allowed to share experiences but I don't know how what someone I wouldn't have any interest in, could be considered to be a bad experience on here. But then neither would I agree to share their user names in pms either just because I don't like a profile bio.

But everyone does fab their own way and it's doesn't really matter in the long run as we will all just connect with like-minded people anyhow.

Have a lovely evening girl.

"You're free to feel whatever way you want to about the profile. Without any of us actually seeing it I don't think any of us can give a valid opinion of though. It could be written with tongue firmly in cheek and it's just a mismatch of sense of humor, it could be fantasist bs, or it could be true, who knows? I certainly don't. "

Yes but whatever they put or don't put reveals alot about that person. I see it like a CV, gives me an good insight about someone. If the profile makes me naturally drawn to them and their messages sound sincere and down to earth, I usually chat then meet. Being the way that person was makes a great filter

To me that is screaming I think I'm God's gift to women"

I haven't read most of this thread because I know there won't be any surprises in it but if that's how he wants to present himself what's the issue?

If you think you aren't compatible just pass on by.

I've seen lots of profiles here that don't present themselves in a way I find attractive but I don't engage with any of those.

Advice threads are a really bad idea because people then change their profiles to tick all the boxes and they end up not being a true representation of the person behind the profile.

If someone isn't capable of writing a decent bio what hope is there of them being able to maintain a persona based on the opinions of others?

You don't need to read the thread to understand what the thread is about.

There's a guy proudly boasting to be the cause of 4 marriages on his profile and you don't see an issue in that I worry for some of you on here that's more than just a red flag

None of this thread mentions anyone having to be someone they are not by keeping up a fake persona based off others opinions so what are you talking about here?

He means that if someone is a knobber, isn't it better that it's plain to see rather than obfuscated by a cookie cutter tick box profile.

Lots of people boast about things that aren't true.

I see lots of red flags and in all my time here have never chatted to a fake account, been catfished or had a no show so I'm very good at seeing red flags thanks.

Telling others what you think they should have in their own profile is also a red flag.

It's much better to let them appear as unsavoury rather do others can avoid them rather than give them ideas for the perfect profile where people don't see the true person until they actually meet.

I prefer people without much on their profile. Too many pics and text makes it all too regimented.

I want to meet *people*, not some sexual tick box.

I don't want to see veris or pics of them fucking other people.

I want them to have their profile how they want it, not how some random group of strangers dictates it should be.

If it's not what I want to see, we're just not compatible.

People don't have to agree how ever the thread was not structured in that way.

So again it's on you how you interpretate it however daft when it's plain to see the message in simple basic English

"I think it should be up to the individual what they put on their profile. If you don't like what's written then block, move on and forget instead of posting a thread about it.

You condone that do you?

Nothing wrong with anyone saying when something is not right"

It seems as though unless someone agrees with you, you are quite dismissive in your replies!

Where in my paragraph have I condoned the man's behaviour??

From what you've said, he does come across as an arrogant prick but I'd rather see that on a profile than have him hide that side.

Make it make sense

I said isn't a profile supposed to be half about yourself and also state what you are looking for in a play mate?

I then said it was a shock to see a person boast of being the cause to numerous relationships breaking up and divorces.

People have said they would need to see his profile :/ why would anyone make that up?

Someone spoke about me ridiculing a person and then another exaggerated about a perfect profile.

So how do you get it to "IF a person doesn't agree you dismiss them"?

People should stop taking what is written out of context for a start and then dramatising it on top

I'm speaking for clarity and stated my surprise to come across a profile from a person who winked

Of course anyone would want to see an escape route rather than dressing up making arrangements then find that out but half of the responses here have been very unnecessary.

I would have thought people would have said yeah ideally it would be nice for a profile to be like that OR no a profile doesn't have to say what they are after either. Loooool It's really not that complicated

You condone that do you?

Nothing wrong with anyone saying when something is not right

There comes a point when the irony goes from cringe to painful. I think we're long past it now."

Your referring to exactly?

I could explain but your reactions lead me to think you'd be unwilling to consider any thing I'd point out. Many more diplomatic and gentler than I have tried.

You condone that do you?

Nothing wrong with anyone saying when something is not right

There comes a point when the irony goes from cringe to painful. I think we're long past it now.

Your referring to exactly?

I could explain but your reactions lead me to think you'd be unwilling to consider any thing I'd point out. Many more diplomatic and gentler than I have tried.

If you understood things from my perspective it would be clearer to see reasons behind my reactions

If that's impossible for you to do that's ok but I would say you would not need to make unnecessary comments.

I think 'unnecessary comments' are those you don't want to consider.

At least the OP hasn't named the guy in question on the forum...unlike on her profile where she has named and shamed a few

What a hypocrite

Miss Dull go contact the said guys on my profile and hook up with them I won't stop you loooool

"I won't stop you"...arrogance right there

Take it however you interpret it, you the hypocrite that needs a life.

Anyone who has made a comment on here, I haven't gone on to their profile to see what they have written.

Shame a woman of your age and even adults can't stick to their words. Clearly preach but don't practice them I can't take you seriously so do whatever to amuse yourself and get yourself through the night or week perhaps loooool

I think someone has PMT. Very tetchy..you seemed easily triggered. Bless you "

I'm laughing at you, only weak individuals act like you. You have your definition of a triggered person and I have mine.

We are not the same so move along

I was going to ask where in my posts I've been a "hypocrite" but your childish repertoire is boring me now

Its worrying (not for me) that you don't remember your own words. You said it's up to an individual what they write on their profile then tell the forum what's on mine

Did I say you couldn't tell anyone what someone has written...I don't think so...maybe you need to check yourself

Your preacher needs to die along with your bitchy behaviour. If a person wants to be ignorant with me I can match that no problem.

When they go low, I go lower then it gets turned into being called childish

Your comment above just proves my thoughts.

Don't dish out what you can't receive back

What is there to receive back??

I don't spoon feed idiots sorry

I'm sure there are other threads for you to join

Run along now "

I have given you enough of my time, maybe someone else will feed you the attention so you clearly crave...and tbh you aren't worth a forum ban.

Hopefully the hole you've dug for yourself isn't too deep for you to climb out off.

I wish you all the luck in the world as you continue your swinging journey...after this thread, you are going to need it.

Peace and

"I think it should be up to the individual what they put on their profile. If you don't like what's written then block, move on and forget instead of posting a thread about it.

You condone that do you?

Nothing wrong with anyone saying when something is not right

Bless you

I'm laughing at you, only weak individuals act like you. You have your definition of a triggered person and I have mine.

We are not the same so move along

Thank the lord for that

I can tell your not a believer so best not to speak of the Lord's name

Sparkle you picked what side you wanted to see me from me by your interaction on this thread.

People with sense will see that too and those with little to none would see my replied to you over how this began.

I'm not here for other's opinions and expectations but if an individual like yourself wants to try be nasty then you will get it back

You need all the peace and that way you will interact a lot better with others on the forum

I said ages ago to move along and you chose to stay.

No one is craving attention from you so get over yourself and see for yourself you asked for it

You don't need to admit it here it will bruise your pride but in future drop the ignorance and check how you come at people.

That's how you get a nicer side of a person

Good bye
