Today is a good day,
Spent the morning chatting with fabbers and drinking tea, can't be bad for a Tuesday
So many people seem to be struggling though, you're certainly right, I hope you are having a great day too Meli xxx |

Very well thank you Meli.. I've just applied for a job, that I've wanted for a few years and it's looking like it's mine.
Got good health, happy home, handful of amazing friends.. So can't really grumble.

I was cold this morning and put the heating on. Mostly I am excited about a couple of plans that I have. I have been getting a lot more alone time since one of my daughters moved out and I think that's helped my MH. |

It's a mixed emotions day, but over all, I'm good! I'm home from work, had lunch, fed the cats and now I get to nap before I tidy the entire house
But, how are you? |

Doing well. Even though recovering from a four year wait for back surgery. Even though had to return to hospital over the last week as dressing was still oozing a bit. But, hooray, can stand up straight now and also hip pain has decreased. Keeping fingers crossed to start living again without pain |

Long: Like a bear woken up from hibernation too early who's still trying to shake it off and catch an early salmon while taking sun breaks to recharge energy reserves.
Short: Bit tired but plodding on. |

I was hit by a car yesterday when on my bike It was the nicest and best rta you could wish for. I didn't get out of casualty until the wee hours. I'm bruised sore and unbroken arm is in a sling. But they did send me home with some hospital strength cocodamol. So I'm alive, still argumentative, a little buzzed and might be in shock. |

Shite. Got a sickness and diarrhea bug ripping through the family. My washing machine is going to request overtime payments soon. The windows are open, yet the smell lingers. The only thing I'm really looking forward to is the ability to have a dry fart again |

Pretty pants really. Some family stuff and I'm in work which unfortunately is a bit soul destroying at the moment.
Thankfully though I have so much out with work that is making me joyful at the moment it's helping keep me going. Very thankful for the wonderful people around me |

After fighting off the worst case of tonsillitis I’ve had in years I find out I also have strep c, which is contagious, meaning no meeting up and feeling like a let down to the lovely people I’d got chatting to and had arranged to meet so feeling a bit low, but once the penicillin kicks in and I soak up a lot of sunshine on holiday next week I’ll be good |

Today has been stressful, but tomorrow is Placebo. And tonight one of my bosses flies out for her holiday, and the other for the photoshoot, so hopefully the next week will be considerably calmer.
It's too long since I came. And it's too long since I indulged in some proper worship. But I have bruises to distract me and all good things will come in time.
So, I guess I'm okay for now, and I certainly will be soon |

After driving all day, tired and slightly disoriented. But a fine thing to get home and find the garden bursting with life and the cat still vainly and unsuccessfully trying to hunt the edges of the carpet.
A trip to the gym to wake myself up after being in the car all day may be replaced by going for an evening walk. But wandering around looking at trees and fields isn't a bad way of making yourself feel human again, rather than thinking of nothing but the motorway lanes in front of you.
Easy to feel lifted by June evenings when life is fundamentally good. I remember how much of a mockery the natural beauty of the world seemed, back when life was more of a struggle. If that's any of you right now, may it pass and be replaced by better times. |

Right now I'm sat out in the sun in my garden and I'm very thankful my day off has been a very relaxing one, I needed it more than I realised.
If honest I'm a bit emotional too. Not being busy has made it hit me a little. I've got a funeral on Friday which I'm dreading so I'm trying to just focus on all the good things in my life and think of all the positives to come.

Hey Wyld. I've made it. It was actually your post that inspired me to go back and give people a little bit of my time - I think it's one of the best things we can do for each other. Not the whole waffling on thing, more the time thing. :D
Funerals can be really, really difficult. It's okay to be stressed, to feel low. All of it. Any of it. It will pass but you've also got to give yourself time and space to feel exactly how you're feeling, when you're ready to.
You have so many positives to come and I have every faith that you'll bring so many positives to those around you.
Thinking of you and sending you a virtual hug. |

Waking with my mind scrubbed clean by sleep, what a pleasant message to wake up to; thank you Meli. I'm reminded of a recent interview with one of the people who built the new AIs, who was asked what we could do to stop AIs becoming more intelligent than us and potentially getting rid of us. Nothing at all, he replied simply; it was out of our control, and the future is always unknowable, so we may as well stop worrying about it and concentrate instead on being nice to each other.
But now my day must start with a bit of self care. By which, on this occasion, I mean coffee. |
