Somewhere In The Ether…

I discovered the above really good series on ITVX (a second series comes out soon)

Anyone else watched/enjoyed it?

Dougray Scott gives an absolutely superb performance in it and finishes many of his sentences with ‘Ey?’ (Which gets it bonus points from me!)

And the unmasking of the surprise star villain - sublime!

Well, there’s my recommendation for this week good folks

The Town by The Cross

Yes I watched the series over two nights. Not only was the writing gritty realism the characters were 3 dimensional. I really enjoyed the occasional narration and the way everyone's life and flaws unfolded.

So many good actors I wouldn't know who to choose as a best. John Sim was compelling, unnerving and repugnant. I actually wanted to do him harm. Jamie Sives...... lovable, horrific, funny and sad all in one character.

Series 2 later this year. Can't wait

"Jamie Sives...... lovable, horrific, funny and sad all in one character."

Welsh does these characters better than anyone.

Somewhere In The Ether…

Talking of the very versatile Jamie Sives I’d also thoroughly recommend the three brilliant seasons of Guilt, in which he stars alongside the always superb, Mark Bonnar

I have one or two episodes of series three to finish but left it some time ago - it just didn't grab me like series one did.... loved series one.

I don't think we will see much more of guilt.

Stick with it Granny Season three is the final ever series.

I won’t spoil it but the simultaneously selfish and scheming (yet curiously likeable!) Max gets an unexpected fate that might finally set him on an honest path…..
