by the big field

Not a chance I could pick one.

Voodoo People takes me back to my early rave days, off my box, stood on a small stage in a regular club, in the middle of a smoke enhanced fuck off big laser, fingertips teasing lines in to the light

Smack my bitch up is a jaw dropping piece of production, an obscene dynamic range, beautifully chosen kick and bass- utter heaven of a track.

Climbatize is almost a throw away album filler- yet it’s way beyond the quality and depth of the best many of their contemporaries could achieve

Narayan. Full on tribalism chant. Only heard it in a club once, but fuck me did the crowd love it

Prodigy are definitely one of the best musical acts ever to come out of this island- live and recorded

Me too in fact they are my favourite artists.

Much to my wife's annoyance. they

Deserve a thread all of their own.

Charley, as it was the first time I’d ever heard them, and have the most fondness for.

Oman. I want to say their earlier stuff is better but that entire album was absolutely top Prodigy.

Rocksock trivia: I separated my collar bone from my shoulder at a Prodigy gig... So worth it!

Yep, especially if driving late at night alone. If that comes on the radio which is rare I turn it up loud and its better that a strong coffee.

Charly says always have some sugar on your strawbs.

There's better tracks but that one has the memories of going to raves, beach parties and driving around the countryside like maniacs at 4am, when I was a kid.

We thrashed the arse out of that Astra SRI

Abhorrent behaviour, which I would never endorse. We had absolutely no fun at all.

Cloud 8

I love pretty much every single prodigy track and am genuinely gutted I never got my arse into gear to see them live. I’ve watched some videos of gigs online and the experience looks visceral.

Talking of experience, it’s my favourite album. It reminds me of my rave days (such as they could be at school) and my favourite tracks were Everybody is in the place and Jericho.

Bangin choooooons!!!

The dirty original of Everybody in the Place. Not the remixes, of which there are about 20. This one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKwbkdCGv5w

Back when they were raw and before they became a pop act.

(Interesting fact - I'm friends with their road crew)
