Lots of stuff. Mainly things like the whole family sitting down together for Sunday lunch. The shops was closed. Neighbor's looking out for each other. The old Christmas decorations, the smell of grandma's house, watching my grandad mow the lawn. Caravan holidays by the sea 20 miles away from home was very exciting times. We was happy with our lot in the 80s

I quite like how things are these days! If everything was a bit more affordable, or at least a bit more in line with the cost of life 20/30 years ago, I wouldn’t change a thing

My figure.....
Being 18 and working my ass off riding all day every day gave me an ass that could crack walnuts!
Also being so care free, when my biggest financial outgoing was a Saturday night, I want constantly clock watching, and although mega busy and working hard, it was a pleasure and something I enjoyed alot, so it wasn't really a 'job' more a way of life! |

I actually don't miss "the old days" at all. People were free to be raging bigots in ways that get them slapped down now. We knew less about diversity and treated people like shit.
Fuck the old days. |

"I miss being without extreme pain "
My wife is with you on that one!
She suffers from Osteoarthritis, along with other medical problems. This wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for her freakish, doctor-puzzling metabolism which renders her immune to the effects of things like Tramadol, Zapain and even morphine!
She was knocked down by a bus less than six months ago, and she literally pulled herself out from under it and promptly won a bet with the A&E department by saying that she only had soft tissue damage, when they were sure of breaks and internal damage.
The point is that she's a tough old bird, but gets pissed off at having to live in a state of constant pain.
Getting older certainly isn't for the weak! |

Going out on the drink at whitley bay, so sad what has become of the main strip driving through it now, place was magical back in the day
Being old enough to work but still living at home, hanging out with mates every night and on the weekend days out places swimming at the beach when it was warm out on drink on Saturday nights no worries or cares or responsibilities
Getting 3 chickens for a fiver from the butcher in netto
The world generally bring a happier more care free place without people being offended at everything somewhere around the mid 2000s the world just stated getting fucking miserable and got worse till we progressed to the shitshow or a society we have today. Or maybe nowts changed and it just looks that way as getting older hsha |

No camera phones- people could actually go out and enjoy themselves without having to constantly pose!
Less reliance on social media and internet, things felt a bit more special and spontaneous |

Eating coal, lard and deep fried eggs. , racist sexist pedo teachers who shouldn’t have be allowed within a mile of children.
On a more positive note poll tax riots were good., shows that sheeple can actually get a good result when they learn to organise and pull together rather than apart |

Things working
Things costing a fair price.
Not being inundated with texts, emails, calls etc or people getting miffed because you don't text back within X minutes.
Being able to park without reading War and Peace terms and conditions.
No BS automatic fines.
There's a whole list at this point, one day I may roll it up and shove it up my arse for all the good it'll do me.

Being able to leave the house without a phone or photo Id. Being able to buy something in a shop without needing to become a member first or being surveilled. Being able to sit in a restaurant without needing a sodding app. Being able to do anything without the internet or proving who we are is what I miss the most.
In the late ‘90’s I was in college, drove a car and had a job all without photo Id or a bank account! I miss those days. |
