Breads - not for everyone

Not everyone likes bread but I am a big fun. Whether to dip in some lovely sauce, have it with some cold meats and cheeses or just as wonderful crispy toast. Anything from the traditional french baguette, to a pita or a bagel. My favoutite though are the more rustic wholemeal artisan breads we are now lucky enough to get much easier than ever before and of course make our own |

My elderly neighbour adores fruited tea bread, so I make her a version with an enriched dough which she loves.
Problem is she would eat big loaf of it in a few days, so she's getting it rationed. I have a small loaf in a few times a week. |

"The Low GI Cob from Lidl is my favourite bread. I'm a simple fellow.
No idea what the low gi is all about but it is fantastic "
Glycemic index. It's meant to be better for people trying to control their sugar levels. If it is too highcan cause a surge in blood sugar. |
