Well I didn't get the memo, just figured it to be Fab terminology or some shiz. Don't think it's too deep anyway, "comment as postie or object", it's just those who want to be commented on as opposed to those who want to do the commenting. From my understanding anyway

I saw that and didn't know what it meant. But yes it basically means that they're in as an object of desire but don't want to bother even sending messages to a postie. That's not how that thread works. Lazy buggers.

I was OP and yes just object of desire.

Intended it so people could state they weren't available to postie due to filters or availability or so people could just be facilitators but it's interesting how it fell in practise...

I think there's a lot of these threads where people just say in but never send anything and expect the adulation to come rolling in. When I take part in those threads I send a load of messages about lots of people. Some I genuinely fancy, some a cheeky flirt and some just to put a smile on someone's face.

No offense taken!!

In retrospect I do think people took the option that I intended for accessibility and used it to be lazy and just have their egos massaged without actually engaging. Which is a damn shame.

It happens all the time! It’s expected.

it shows how common that practice is that we have a phrase for it.

I just think it’s pointless coming in, saying I’m in. And not doing anything.
