Somewhere In The Ether…

A tad random, but how often do you mow your grass good folks? (no, this isn’t a euphemism Ye dirty minded buggers thou!)

My lawn is presently growing at a frightening rate; I mean like something out of a science fiction film in fact!!!

Next Door

As and when needed, weather permitting and when I have time.

This time of year usually weekly/10 days.

We have a guy and his wife around every 2 weeks, our lawn is goosed though thanks to kids, dogs and poor drainage, we will be completely digging it out, new drainage, lawn and patio this summer, be worth it though.

For a home lawn I mowed it no less than weekly during the growing season. height of summer it was twice a week.

During the winter I would cut when I thought it needed it.

I pay someone 20 quid to do both lawns once a month.

I struggle to do them myself and they aren't exactly big or difficult.

I cut the grass most weekends in the spring/summer, if it’s dry enough. The dog loves chasing me around and barking at me while I do it.

I leave mine to go wild. The grass gets to knee length and there's a profusion of wild flowers and greenery. My daughter has sown wildflower seeds in it. I'm sure our neighbours hate it. Little frogs and other life loves it. It isn't a short, over-manicured, sterile green desert.

I cut it back a couple of times over the summer, but I never mow it.

Yes, I need to get out and do mine.

Grown my lawn from seed but am staggered by the amount of s in it.

My mower has a roller, as I quite like the striped look

That’s beautiful D. Living out in the sticks, I have my own wildflower meadow. I keep paths mown through it so I can wander around easily. I absolutely love seeing the surprise of what flowers come up each year. It’s different every time.

That's beautiful RTG! There's so much beauty in a wild garden. You're so blessed having a wildflower meadow.
