You. And you. And yep, even you.
So- what are the personality traits you like in other people?
Do you find that the qualities you admire in other people are ones you possess yourself on some level?

Personally for me I tend to be drawn towards positive people, with a kind heart and compassion for others. I hate bullying and dislike arrogance. But love confidence, fun and a sense of adventure. |

I admire people that don't take life so seriously generally. Mental health issues aside which I genuinely sympathise with. And yes I have that trait |

Sense of humor
Cheeky side
Compassion
Strong minded.
I’d like to think I possess these qualities myself but ultimately love spending time with people who are comfortable in themselves and knows their own mind. |

Good morning Meli.
For me I'd say the ability to empathise and sympathise, a sense of humour, not taking themselves too seriously, a strong sense of principle, a real naughty (sorry to use that word but can't think of another this early in the day) streak and a strong preference for cake.... |

People with a strong sense of self - who don’t follow the crowd and freely speak there mind, who have the ability to take the piss but not with arrogance and equally have the piss taken out them. People with a warm glow who just have those inviting eyes that suck you in and you can’t help but listen to them, people with a soul for adventure and a mind to make it happen xx |

Humour, and confidence(with out cockieness)
I gravitate towards people who have been through the mill and come out the over side fighting, it people that feel the word owes them a favour I've got no time for |

I like kindness. I love people who are authenticly themselves. They don't need to pretend to be something they aren't. The embrace the tough times and the good times.
I value honesty and deep conversations. Don't hide behind small talk, tell me what you really think and mean.
I suppose in many ways I do see those things in myself too |

I’m normally quite reserved socially, but in the past I’ve tended to date people who are more vivacious. Perhaps this is why all my relationships have eventually fallen apart?

Aww I like this a lot. I don't think there's wrong with someone not always being positive, I love people who present who they are without a facade. But that sense of adventure is such an important trait in others if you have it. Else it can be a bit... boring. |

Oh I love lots of traits in other people. But I think my favourite one is passion. And I don't mean in a sexual way. Just the way someone can talk about a subject with such passion that you become engrossed in what they are saying. Or that they have this drive to explore more because of it and you get sucked along on the ride. I adore those kind of people |

Honesty, kindness intelligence.
I really like a bit of quirkiness. Something unique.
And passion. Not just for sex. But a passion for life. I give 100% and I always like that to be reciprocated - I don’t expect anyone to be quite as full on throttle as me though. That would be quite possibly dangerous |

Down to earth, sense of humour, none serious.
Also me bring my very strange self. I like people who don’t like me, as I am a man who likes to know where he stand, you know where you stand with those people, you don’t have to work out of its fake nice or genuine nice, you know they don’t like you, job done.

This is eloquently described Dancer, I adore it, x
Yes, those with that warm energy that radiates - being around them is good for the soul. I like those people a lot. And it's good to not take life too seriously - people who are able to laugh, revel in the silliness are fantastic.
Quite a bit of what you've described is how I see you, x

People with a strong social compassion. Free thinkers. People who are comfortable with who they are and don't follow the crowd. People who are passionate about what they love regardless of what it is |

Oh authenticity! An oft bandied around term but one that carries so much importance.
Yes. I like people who don't filter, edit who they are to try and appease or appeal to others. Can openly talk about those tough times, the good times and everything in between. You know where you stand. Without overthinking. The bond is deeper because... you're talking to the real them. Not who they feel you should be. In turn, it gives you space to be you. To let others know the real you.
I see those things in you too Wyld. It's not that common to find people who are authentic - makes it all the more special when you do, doesn't it? x |

Ahhh Meli...
I have been struggling with this all week.
I like Basic Manners, Honesty, Integrity and Kindness in people. I have a real problem not judging people who don't have these qualities. But I've learned not to put people on unobtainable pedestals and my frustration has lowered. Ignoring them is best for me and facing up to that I cannot protect everyone has helped me let go |

Mellster! Is this some kind of tribute thread?
I like people who say the things, rather than shying away from them. I can't be doing with pussyfooting around. That doesn't mean I tell it like it is - take me as you find me - I'm just being honest etc. etc... But I do value people who speak plainly when the time is right.
What about you?

I look for Kindness, humility, empathy and who is caring, thoughtful, unselfish and can show their weaknesses, i personally think that shows strength. I hope that people can see i have some of these traits. I struggle to empathise sometimes and my anxiety comes across as rudeness. But i am a person working towards being a better person each day
Whoa i got a bit deep there |

I have no idea who that is.
But if you guilty for laughing at it, it's probably the right ballpark. |

People that have a nice way about them, a friendly yet not overbearing confidence
Someone who leaves those they meet with a smile, a rosey glow or a feeling they have just met someone 'decent'
Clever enough to be astute and daft in equal measures
Amiable, amicable, honest and unafraid to confront challenges head on
I am like that, in flickers
Sadly, my inner demons let me down at times
Learning when and how to keep them at bay is important x |
