What outfit/item of clothing makes you feel good when you're wearing it?
It could be anything. Any sort of good, whether that's sexy, happy, confident. I think there's a certain kind of joy to be found in wearing something that gives you *that* feeling. |

Putting on my sunglasses. Partly because that bright sunshine is already giving me all the good endorphins, partly because sliding them on feels good, feeling them grip the sides of my head and sit lighter on my nose than my regular glasses do. But also partly because I *know* I look good in them. So I smile as well. |

I have a cardigan with embroidered flowers and birds on it, which reminds me of a cardigan my mamgu knitted for me when I was little. It was so cool, my mamgu would let us choose a pattern then we'd go into town and choose the colours we wanted. She also made scrap jumpers which was made of leftover wool, so you could say this is a bit of Tadcu jumper and essentially all the family members, I can't get a version of that anymore. It's makes me all happy when I wear it, because it's happy memories. Thanks Meli for this post made me proper happy and smiley |

I have two pairs of Oliver Sweeney boots which I love make me feel a million pounds.

I love a baggy jumper or hoody. They make me feel so warm and they're so cozy. It's feels amazing because I'm not trying to show off my physique or impress others. It feels like I can just be |

This has brought me so much joy
For me, it's a certain dress. That I could barely squeeze my boobs into 6 months ago so I'm not even going to try now. But when I wear it I feel really good. |

"I have a certain tshirt. Just fits perfectly at every point. Definitely makes me feel more confident when I wear that "
A well fitting t-shirt is the holy grail really. Goes with everything, effortlessly looks good. Thank you for sharing! |

"Matching underwear...
What can I say I'm easily pleased & prepared in case I get hit by a bus or something
"
Ha! I had it drilled into me that *ladies* (look, my grandma is wankier than I am) wear matching underwear in case such accidents happen.
I'm impressed by your organisation skills - I'm a chuck a bra on and good to go sort of woman now.
Unless I'm going on a date and remember the simple pleasure of wearing something matching. |

"A lovely red dress I have. "
Oh that sounds dreamy! Red is such a beautiful mood boosting colour isn't it? A very dear friend bought me two perfect red lipsticks. Whenever I'm in need of a confidence boost I wear it, it also makes me think of him which isn't entirely unpleasant. |

"When I turned 50 and lost all my weight I bought a bright red shorts playsuit. Oh my god did I feel confident in it. My friends all said I rocked it and I got chatted up loads when I wore it"
That sounds lovely Karen! You can read the confidence it gave you.
Weight loss and being able to, no, not able to, feeling able to wear clothes makes such a difference doesn't it? A few years ago I was a 48G. Now I'm a 40HH and it's like there's a whole new world of lingerie I can wear. Loving it. |

So you're not a fan of well worn, dirty trainers then? How many pairs do you own? I may judge you slightly (but still think you're fantastic). |

"Working in construction I do t often get to scrub up, so it’s always good to put a nice suit on. "
I'm sure you look great suited up! Being able to dress up and make a change from that day to day attire is almost a ritualistic joy. Making an effort, knowing it's for something. I adore excuses to dress up for that reason - normally I'm in cardigans and t-shirt dresses. Or a shirt and skirt.
Any chance to rock something else and I'm excitedly trying to work out what it will be. |

I love a blazer and I have a white one that I add to outfits, sometimes a dress or usually jeans and a bodysuit. It always give a nice finish to an outfit. It sounds silly but I feel more confident when wearing it
I’m sure it holds magical powers as every time I’ve worn it I’ve had the best nights |

What a gorgeous thread this is, you can almost feel the enthusiasm in people’s posts. Kudos, Meli.
Much like the lovely ThatMinxOverThere above, I also have a red dress (shocking news this, I know, me, liking red). Just a hint of cleavage, lovely fabric, didn’t cost much (if I told you where I got it from, you’d laugh!). But also much like the wonderful Posh, my lady boulders have expanded to the point where I am nervous to try it on… |

Lol yes same here, my nan was always saying it, bless her... Nowadays I think I just like knowing I'm all matchy/matchy even under jeans & a t-shirt, almost like it's my little secret

I think I rotate 4 pairs at the minute, probably about 20 pairs in total, most are in immaculate condition I would buy a pair every week if I could afford it!
I am told I have a problem (I do! Not enough money!! ) |

Perfectly fitted underwear is always a good start for me. Currently not fitting all my older sets. Why when we lose weight it goes from the breasts?!
So my pretty dresses don't fit. My jeans don't fit because my arse has shrunk. I have to find new things to make me feel good. That's exciting though right?!

It would suit you perfectly! You have that quintessential, effortless sort of look that means you'd (forgive me for what I'm about to type) rock it. |

Ah an accessory is such a lovely twist! I love sunglasses - they make people look cool. Can make people look cool. Fuck that sounds lame. Well I'm sticking with it.
Knowing how well you pull off your glasses, I'm sure your sunglasses look even better. x |

My Betty Jackson Black dress. Figure hugging in all the right ways. Teamed with red stilettos. Always makes me feel confident and sexy but in a very understated way. Just enough cleavage and curves but not short. It's my go to dress. |

16 hole Dms, opaque tights, short denim skirt and black t-shirt with leather jacket. Or long boots, skinny jeans and oversized hoodie. It's been my 'go to' look since I was a student.
Recently bought a beautiful black and white kimono style top with deep lace edging. Cost me £3 in charity shop. I love this top. Looks great with vest and jeans or leather trousers and equally is posh enough to dress up with smart black or white trousers. Wear it so much, people must think it's all I owned. |

"Heels. I love the way they alter my posture and give that natural, effortless hip sway when I walk. Plus I like being taller. "
I have no idea how you walk so gracefully in them, esp after banana gin. They do lend themselves well to your general overall look - hip swaying is very much you Lils*.
*this? It's sticking. |

There's nothing more flattering than a well fitting dress. Usually wrap style suits me best. I don't do heels though it's pumps in the summer and docs in the winter. |

I'd not heard of the brand before - very chic and timeless! Thanks Mr for introducing me to a brand for future presents. |

I always feel on top of the world whenever I don my 1970’s, wide collar, frilly shirt and my purple corduroy blazer and matching bell bottoms (not forgetting the obligatory, oversized medallion also).
You dig baby? |

Agreed RTG. Me and my Wayfarers are seldom parted!
Other things, Meli: I have a white cotton-oxford shirt that's always my go-to. It suits me, so I feel good.
I also have a grey cashmere jumper that's like a hug when I wear it; it's old and a bit tatty, but I love it. |
