What's something you saw in an American film when you were a child and wished the UK had it to
Jump to: Newest in thread
Those wild high school parties at the popular kids house whilst their parents are out of town, you know them ones where there's about 500 kids show up all at once with beer kegs and red disposable cups, beer pong in the kitchen, some stoners on the couch, people having sex in the parents bedroom, everyone half naked in the pool, the popular girl gets her own slow motion entrance where the music changes and everyone looks in awe, an awesome DJ or sometimes even a live band. Them kinda parties just don't exist |

Drive in movie theatres. Always loved seeing them in films. All those "teen" girls on the front bench seat with a boyfriend......................why did we not have that in the UK when i was a teenager, in fact why have we still not got it ? |

Phones with enormously long cords so I could walk around while talking on it or (even better!) talk in the privacy of my bedroom rather than in the lounge with everyone listening in and shushing me because they were trying to watch the telly. |

Most American kids seemed to take their phones out onto their roofs which they frequently used to sneak out at night for late night parties/secret missions. |

"Them massive chocolate bars I seen in half baked (not sure if real or not)
American chocolate is vile. Tastes really sickly sweet."
I'm not opposed to it being made from UK chocolate brands so longs they're still massive |

"The big wide roads. Everyone seemed to live on a street where it was extra wide and quiet."
So quiet in fact, that the driver can turn and talk to the passenger for a full minute without having their eyes on the road |
