I love the little glimpses, insights into others' happiness - finding out what brings a smile to their face, however fleeting.
So, what's made you smile recently? It can be anything - a good meal, a lovely message, a walk... good sex. |

Morning Meli.
I think we know that I find joy in so many things…
More recently. In a change to normal service I am feeling a warm glow from being proved wrong. A most peculiar sensation, but I’m holding on to it!!!
Other than that - my dinner last night was superb |

Watching a barn owl swooping and gliding around my dad's garden on Monday afternoon. That was breathtaking.
My friend's dog knocking me over in a bid to get ALL THE CUDDLES.
The guinea pigs popcorning and squeaking with sheer joy at finding red pepper in their run.
My reasons for smiling all appear to be animal related

"Having intense air band sessions with the little pickles to old 80s hair music....dee snyder was and still will be just awsome.
Were you on lead air guitar? Or banging the air drums?"
I was lead air guitar. I'm always lead air guitar or lead keyboards. |

"I'm all for the littl things, that's what make me happy!
Lately it's been the Mr's unexpected kitchen cuddles, kitchen dancing, some amazing oral and beating my bj best last night
Mrs "
Kitchen cuddles are wonderful.
Well done for surpassing your own oral excellence! It's such a rush isn't it?
You can tell when you've really stepped it up to worthy of remembering when you're in your nineties. |

Monday was full of sunshine. It felt like a preview of the summer to come. That made me smile.
A girl kissed my neck last week. The sensitive skin down nearer my collarbone. Over and over again. Slowly and softly. That made me smile.
I’ve done something to my shoulder overnight and woken up in pain. That did not make me smile. |

I put a post on Facebook about how ill we've all been this winter and how the youngest had managed to get chicken pox a second time. My cousin saw it and posted us biscuits and sweets and a really sweet card. Totally unexpected and gave me a big smile
Of course, what made me laugh was thanking her and telling her it had bumped her up the list of who gets the kids in the will |

"My youngest saying he loved me on Friday.
He’s on the spectrum so I know that wasn’t easy for him "
I had this too last night. I had to fight back the tears as it’s so rare.
And seeing the bluetits have returned to my nesting box - 3rd year now. I just wish they stayed longer than 8 weeks.

Cherry coming back to me from her hen weekend and seeing the smile on her face when I showed her how much she means to me… absolutely vom inducing to the casual observer, but we can’t get enough of each other emotionally or physically.

I love doing little things for F, make her favourite lunch, bring her hot chocolates at work (and some times muffins for her and 2 of her colleagues) and bake her brownies, so that her colleagues tell her that she's "a fucking spoilt bitch" |

"My dog whenever someone walks into the room (though unfortunately quite a few do not appreciate his excitement at seeing them)." .
Oh that's adorable! Seeing a dog's unbridled joy is smile inducing. I have a dear friend whose dog is always overjoyed to see me. I think I love her dog more than her. |

Hair music is such a mood. I have an unwavering adoration of Aerosmith for kitchen discos (not quite 80s but still). Sounds fantastic. |

Hey Misty!
Finding joy in lots of things is a gift to be cherished.
Love being proved wrong, it's such a good feeling to have. It even extends into someone challenging my viewpoint successfully. Weird but I like it.

I saw a father playing with his daughter the other day. She must have been around 2/3 years old.
She was laughing, it was very sweet. They both looked happy.
Made me smile all the way to the shop.

My son was really upset this morning. I sat down with him and we had a conversation, which was hard because he was so angry and shaky. It ended OK, but partly had to stop because he had to get ready for school, not because I was convinced we'd resolved everything.
10 minutes later I went upstairs to check on him. He was practising diving onto his bed and beaming. When I smiled, he grinned back and said "What? I'm allowed to be happy!"
Yes. Yes, you are.

Oh Nell! Animals are truly adorable - owls are so beautiful in flight. You have guinea pigs though? How have we been friends for so long and I don't know this?
Last night I heard this awful, creepy screeching sound.
Looked in the garden - we have foxes now. |
