"The Luther movie on Netflix was good if you've seen the series
A few people reviewed it in the forum a few days ago - feedback was mixed, to the point it's deterred me. "
We just finished it, I actually really enjoyed it |

"Got Netflix/prime/sky/Disney e.t.c and still can’t find anything worth watching, Any suggestions?"
Started "A town called malice" on sky today. Good 80s nostalgia and soundtrack so far! |

"Everything, Everywhere: please avoid this cerebral-eroding, life-zapping, enervating, hotchpotch of film-shittery that makes as much sense as an Yves Tanguy painting turned upside down."
Can't tell, are you a fan or not? |

Watched the legendary/infamous 70s disaster film The Swarm again yesterday.
It's not the greatest film, or even the best disaster movie, but it's a hell of a lot of fun, where you can experience the pleasure of watching beloved icons of Hollywood getting stung to death, killed in a train derailment, etc.
Michael Caine brings his full range to bear, using both shouting very loudly AND talking very calmly! That both a very infirm Henry Fonda and young kid blow Caine off the screen when appearing in the same scene tells you how much effort he exchanged for his juicy cheque.
You have to love a genre where they are perfectly happy to kill off anyone:
"Hey, look - it's beloved Double Indemnity star Fred McMurray...oh shit, they just killed him!!"
"Hey!!! [insert name of very cool actor] made it right the way through to the end...bloody hell, they've off'd him!!"
"Aw, what a lovely, sweet group of kiddiewinks....Jesus - they're all dead!?!?!"
There's no better way to spend a cold Sunday afternoon! |

"Dark on Netflix.
Incredible series.
Incredibly complex to!
•
Dark was brilliant! I agree, the plot was frustratingly complex but it all came together."
We’re like magnets, with our viewing choices Nero. I tried to watch this, lost it part way through series 2. My housemate at the time was so annoyed with me, he had no one to talk about it with! |

"like poles repel" is the term, Red. However, what really really amazed me about Dark was the 'seamless' casting: they carefully handpicked different actors that all closely and uncannily resembled the characters they played at different ages - from teenagers to grown-ups. |

It’s a truly amazing series.
It’s often broadly classified as sci-fi but I think this does it a severe disservice as it is so much more than that.
Absolute kudos to the writers for keeping reins on such an intricate storyline.
The cast are universally superb also |
