Score the skin with a sharp knife in quarter sections, peel each one down from the top. At one time you could buy a tool designed for this purpose. Someone with good knife skills can then cut the pith away and deftly release each segment but I have neither the time nor inclination for that sort of caper |

Oh yes - I completely forgot to mention the first stage; One should assume the lotus position with the orange balanced upon one’s head whilst chanting the nursery rhyme, Oranges and Lemons. Next the orange must be rubbed vigorously against one’s dog or cat….  |

But which "end" do you start the peel from? The end with the little juice stopper that falls out or the end with the devils anus? |

Cut into quarters and then duck all the juices out of them…
Or if you want to peel them, then jab your thumb in the top and pick at each piece of peel hoping you get some that goes right round and then spend the next 2 hours picking all the pith off

But which "end" do you start the peel from? The end with the little juice stopper that falls out or the end with the devils anus? "
The choice is yours. I prefer the devil's anus personally there's something about it that appeals |
