First gigs were college do's in wxm around 76 77 , one hit wonders Edison Lighthouse and a new wave group from London called Bethnal who I think were popular on the circuit at the time..

First concert was an all day concert at the old Veitch stadium at Swansea around the same time featuring The Who, who were brilliant...

Best moment was earlier, it had been peeing down all morning can't remember the group but they played "here comes the sun" as the clouds parted and the crowd erupted..

"Iron Maiden, Glasgow Apollo 1983

Wow...I didn't see them til 84 it's the one tour I would have loved to go to...Piece of Mind is still their best era

It was fantastic even if i had the worst view ever from the stalls, then back at the Apollo in 1984 this time up in the circle with a much better view "

My brother was at the Glasgow 84 show, he said that during Mariner as the stage is quite high the smoke fell off the front like a waterfall

I had a bootleg of that show,Bruce points out how much the balcony bounces

Couldn’t agree more! Last time I saw them they were in support of the Sex Pistols at Glasgow SECC, on their Filthy Leucher tour, with Bruce Foxton on bass "

Seen them twice back in the day

They start their usual March tour today they play Cambridge next week I quite fancy it

I've done a couple of gigs with them as they were on the same bill as Conflict (I was Conflicts guitar/drum tech)

"Pearl Jam 1992 at the Riverside in Newcastle and yes I was underage at the time."

I was at the same gig and was a great night, especially given they were all next door before the gig, so I still have a signed vinyl copy of ten, with not for public sale printed on it.

But first gig was Metallica.

Bexley

Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band.

Back in the mid to late 1960s I was a student at Goldsmiths' in New Cross London and Neill Innes was one of the most recognisable characters around the place.

The band appeared regularly in College 'Ball' events.

I also (later) saw Cream there at a Summer Ball. They were my introduction to supergroups of the time.

If there's 1 band I wish i could've seen in their peak it would be the jam. At the same time I'm glad they didn't do a cheesy reform and ruin it all.

Saw them about 12 times during the late 70s and early 80s, brilliant band live.
