So! This is inspired by a forum friend that I shall keep anonymous, though they may reveal identity themselves.

So your jeans, are they zip or button?

And do you wear a belt, what kind of buckle type and is it a fancy buckle?

Open to all genders.

For me mostly button (some zip), ratchet buckles all the way, and so I'm told a fancy buckle design.

In the west.

I always wear a belt, it just looks better. I think I only have zip denims now, buttons are too draughty, especially during the winter.

Zip. Either black leather belt with silver buckle or my Kevlar D-ring belt at work so I can attach all my bits to it.

Mostly buttons and thick chrome or brass buckles. I do have one handmade anchor buckle which looks nice

I don't wear them very often, but they're high waisted, so have a zip and buttons! Don't wear a belt though.

I used to enjoy the 501 buttons but I don't like the 501 fit anymore so the ones I do wear come with a zip.

I do wear a belt, black or brown to match the footwear. It's just your regular Levi's belt.

No rodeo buckle but am tempted !

Somewhere In The Ether…

The ones I have on are button up at the moment.

I wear a jeans belt (a wide one) with them as they are a little too roomy around the waist though.

My jeans are usually zipped and I’ll wear a belt to finish an outfit off I’m im going out, otherwise I usually won’t bother

On men I definitely prefer buttons. I enjoy the tease of them being opened one by one and always a belt

And I prefer button up jeans, I dress commando…it’s safer that way.

Button fly.

Belt: a heavy-set buckle, quite large, leather, bought from Burlington Arcade about 20 years ago and still going strong. I think it's in one of my profile photos.

I prefer button fly, but have both - if the jeans are right, a zip's not a deal breaker.

All my belt buckles are quite simple/subtle, and most often I'm just in my trusted brown leather belt, but can be seen sporting a colourful woven belt occasionally...

Mr KC has both button and zip fly jeans. His button ones are sexiest. He wears a lovely leather belt with a nice brushed "silver" buckle. The belt is dual use too

I prefer buttons but also own zippers, and as for belts I go for more subtle buckles, but enjoy some detailed accents on the belt itself. Some examples in my pics

I wear woman’s jeans so most are zip and I don’t wear a belt with them as most of mine are high wasted and my others are jeggings.

Some people on here will say I’m wrong to wear them but I have a very slim waste and they fit much better than the men’s ones
