Honestly I couldn't care less what somebody prefers when it comes to cut or uncut. I have what I have and I'm not going to worry about or even make such a change to my own body for somebody else benefit.
Nor would I go to methods that can help "grow" it back

That's religious/cultural reasons. 2000 years ago with no clean running water there may have been a logical hygiene justification, but not now.
Aside from medical need it's an unnecessary procedure. An aesthetic choice made by parents.

Some people do. America certainly do, since its the done thing and barely linked to religion for most.
For the most part though it is a religious thing. The origins were very likely done as a ritual, trial of bravery and endurance through mutilation. Not forced on babies but adults doing it as a rite of passage.
I'll always view it as their body their choice (even though its not since its done as a baby but still). |
