I hate when people show up unannounced. It’s always when you’re in the middle of something as well. Just text me and let me know so i can’t tell you that I’m out |

"Erm... there isn't anyone.
Any of my close friends/family if they really needed to. But for a chat? No thank you.
Actually maybe if they showed up with a cheese hamper. "
Just going to get a selection together now along with various chutneys and crackers.... |

When I was a student I had the sort of house everybody turned up at and hung out. Any friend could wander in and put the kettle on or grab a beer, anytime. There was always a chat going on in the living room. Or people playing music. Or videogames.
I haven’t lived like that in a long time. My place is my place. Sanctuary. Holy ground. You’re welcome to come visit, but make arrangements. Plan ahead. At the very least, text me. I’ll put the kettle on ready. |

I have a real pet hate for those disrespectful bastards who turn up unannounced.
Would they similarly just turn up at a posh restaurant and expect to be seated? No. So why do they expect me to entertain them?
‘Just popped in’ they say. ‘Fuck off!’ say I!
….I don’t have many friends. |

Close friends and family. They use my backdoor and let themselves in. They take me as they find me. Sometimes I'm not even dressed. I've often popped out and seen a friend sitting in my house waiting for me |

I require people to ring in advance and even then I could count the number of people on less than the fingers of one hand , to whom I would grant an audience.
I’m actually more sociable than it sounds, I just don’t like visitors. |
