The Host.
El Laberinto Del Fauno.
I love Oldboy. Which is probably a bit odd. There are some fantastic Korean films out there - I can't remember the name of it but the horror anthology where there are oddly ingrediented dumplings is so good. |

Has nobody else watched Aniara?
It wasn't very well publicised and isn't very well known, but it's a masterpiece.
Whilst the long poem it's based on is almost 70 years old, it's all very relevant to what's going on in the world today. |

I cut and paste the same answer to the same question in the Irish Forum a few days ago....lol
"Jean de Florette" and the (sequel/part 2) "Manon des Sources" 1986 French. So beautiful.
Cinema Paradiso... xxxxx
And recently I watched in a couple of sittings (over 3 hours) the Mammy of Euro Cinema. Lá Dolce Vita. Its stunning.
The scene in which Anita Ekberg takes a midnight dip in the Trevi Fountain is the moment we are all familiar with but 2 mins before it she is wandering around the streets with a tiny white kitten on her head. Holy crap it's a beautiful film. |
