I’m have been having chemotherapy for the past 6 months . It’s my final cycle this week. As a present to myself I have promised to buy myself a new scent as a treat. I am considering buying aventus creed. It’s £300 a bottle.
Now here’s the thing. It would be a blind buy as I’ve never even smelt it but everyone I know says it’s incredible.
Does anyone have any feedback on it ?
Not sure if I can justify £300 though. If not I will buy some Blue de Chanel eau de parfum which is around £125. |

Hope you're doing OK.
Aventus does smell amazing but...
So many people are complaining that Aventus gets weaker and weaker by the batch. There are some brilliant clones on the market if you like the DNA (Club de nuit intense man or L'aventure intense)
I've just picked up Cedrat Boise intense by Mancera. 120ml for £140 and it blows BDC and Aventus out of the water. |

Hello Revolver and congratulations on your final cycle. I hope everything is going well for you. A treat definitely is in order.
I have tried Aventus Creed but I was not impressed personally.
I've not worn any scents for over 30 years. I am very fussy and demanding with a scent and believed there was nothing out there that would suit me.
A trip to London to a perfumery and a consultation changed my mind. They asked me what scents I did like and did not like. They used natural notes to get me to yay or nay them. All the while, they were narrowing down a list, until they suggested one. I took one smell and instantly knew this was the one. I wanted to eat the bottle and drink the liquid. It was mind-blowing. I cannot see me wanting to wear anything else now. So if you really want to treat yourself, try a guided consultation with a perfumery. They found me a scent which I personally thought they would fail at doing. I guess they know their business.

I tend to wear Viktor Rolf Flowerbomb Nectar. But I have quite the collection, YSL Black Opium, Lancôme Idole. I’m a fan of anything with a bergamot or jasmine note.
On men I can’t resist Tom Ford Oud Wood or Dior Sauvage. Wood leather musky smell |
