You know there’s often posts on here asking what series we’re all presently enjoying on Netflix/Prime etc?
Well fuck that! - I want to know what series you’ve started but abandoned due to it being, in your opinion, absolute and utter fucking shite.
Off you go good folks |

Madmen, I wanted to see the ads being created, not some chainsmoker trying to shag his client. I can't even remember his name.
I've read a few books on adverts and they were a lot more engaging. |

"I think it was 1899, set on a ship and they find an abandoned ship, weird as fuck, only lasted three episodes."
•
What a coincidence! Just a few moments ago I watched the first 20 minutes of 1899...and gave up. |

"Game of Thrones, I watched one episode before thinking it's not for me "
To be honest series 1 isn't the best, but it sets up everything else.
Doesn't start getting proper good until series 2.
But there's lots of shagging and boobies, deaths and that. |

Behind Her Eyes: I actually did finish this…..but seriously regretted bothering to even start it.
The ending was veritably insulting to the principles of logic.
Absolutely fucking shit.
I mean, really, REALLY shit. |

To be fair the shagging only lasts for 5 series then it's all killing |

You can but you'll miss all the classic "Hound" one liners.
Such as.
"Stupid cunt"
And " Cunt"
And the all time classic
"Ugly cunt"
Oh yeah it's got lots of swearing |

"Stan Against Evil: It just felt like a piss poor and cheap rip off of Ash vs Evil Dead (which was awesome!).
I made it about four episodes in before capitulating."
I actually quite liked it but yes not a patch on ash Vs the evil dead.
But then anything with Bruce Campbell in is alrighty in my books even if that book is the Necronomicon |

Plenty (especially the US stuff) start off with promise. But they run for season after season and become tedious and watered down after a while when the idea's begin to run out. Westworld, The 100, Schits Creek. They all started well but got boring in the end. |

"I think it was 1898, set on a ship and they find an abandoned ship, weird as fuck, only lasted three episodes."
I managed to get to the end, really wish I hadn't bothered with it.
Ratched, I watched a couple of episodes I thought I would love it, I love One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest book and film and I love Sarah Paulson, but I could not get into it at all. |

He’s such a cool guy. I especially loved him playing himself (and sending himself up something rotten!) in, My Name Is Bruce.
And the song that plays throughout it…..legendary! |

"Stranger Things for me. Watched the first series, didn’t get half way through episode 1 of S2
"
Amen! I really wanted to enjoy that series and really liked the promised ‘Goonies’ style eighties vibe.
Three episodes in and I gave up, highly disappointed

I binge watched Ratched over 2 nights made me cringe but couldn’t stop watching it, was so glad it was over but at least it’s not in my Keep Watching list |

Van Der Valk: I really like Marc Warren - usually typecast as a villain in most things, but very good at it!
Unfortunately I could only managed a solitary episode of this frankly boring reboot of the Barry Foster classic.

Probably The Walking Dead. I did watch all seasons and episodes but it felt very drawn out during the last few seasons.
It felt like the only thing that mattered was the zombies and you seen one, you seen them all. Yawn.
This is why I am enjoying The Last of Us. The Infected are not the reason to watch the show. They are just a background antagonist.
TLOA is all about going deep in to the psyche's of the characters and their backstories and that's much more rewarding. I care more about the actors in TLOA five episodes in, than I cared for any of the TWD characters after all the seasons. |

Yeah its still on my keep watching list its gonna be staying there as well no way I can finish it.
The other one for me was Squid Game, I kept seeing people raving about it on social media, friends and family watched it and said it was brilliant, I just found it really boring still can't understand what all the fuss was about. |

Hear me out on this one as this might sound initially controversial, but many Korean series…
They’re invariably exceptionally well made and acted but each episode is typically well over the hour mark (some 90 mins!) and a series is usually 16 or so episodes.
This inevitably leads to needless ‘padding out’ of the storylines in order to fulfil the episode quotas which very often proves a chore to watch in its entirety.
A real shame.

Gentleman Jack: It’s an admittedly, clearly very well made and acted period drama production.
So what was my issue with it?
Basically, I have a curious aversion for any film or series in which the main character turns to the camera and speaks to the audience directly - a gimmick which I personally find to be highly irritating and highly pretentious.
I therefore lasted about three minutes into the series before giving up.

Heroes: The first series made for admittedly brilliant and gripping viewing.
….but then the writers just seemed to completely forget what the hell they were doing and season two…well….it was all a bit shitty to be honest (and I gave up). |

Instinct: This was sadly, a really wasted opportunity.
Alan Cummin was admittedly brilliant as the lead but the series couldn’t seem to decide on its actual target audience and seemed to fluctuate awkwardly between being a serious adult crime drama and a lighthearted daytime type TV crime show.
I watched a few episodes before giving up in frustration |
