I wouldn't have put those two together
Jump to: Newest in thread
Before my online meeting started this morning, I watched a chef on daytime TV. He caused me to think of a fun and simple game, which might also become quite informative.
Two foods which you wouldn't think go together, but they do...
***
First off - the one many people are aware of.
Strawberries and balsamic vinegar. |

"Mackerel and rhubarb "
The two cheese and spread ideas above, I can imagine the taste of. And I expect they would be a nice contradiction.
Mackerel and Rhubarb is out of the range of my imagination though!
Is this genuine? |

Mrs (feel free to unfriend me after this revelation)"
Sunday dinner without gravy isn't Sunday dinner.
It's just dinner. |

"My daughter swears that peanut butter and sriracha is the bomb but I can't pluck up the courage to try it "
I can imagine that working. Like a lazy person’s approximation of South East Asian satay flavours. Thai, Malaysian, Vietnamese … all use lots of fresh chili and peanuts … |

Is the rhubarb cooked? Plain mackerel or smoked? Do you have a recipe? What is it served with? |

Yeah that's always a good time but I'm not convinced about slapping it on a piece of toast! |

"Similar to mackerel and rhubarb, but there's a delicious French recipe for trout with grapes. And molé, turkey, black beans, and chocolate, is a classic and amazing Mexican dish."
Definitely something to try when we're feeling a little adventurous in the kitchen... |

"Orange marmalade and warmed goat's cheese - I've always disliked orange marmalade hate the taste but those two side by side, deelish! "
Cheese and a spread of some description seem to be quite common. I might try some of these in future |
