This morning whilst on my commute into work I recognised someone from fab, there are a lot of us on here so it's not surprising that it's actually happened, what is the general consensus on approaching and chatting to them?
To be clear I didn't approach them at all but just curious to understand how most people feel |

Don't.
Fab is part of someone's private life. Encroaching on their normal life is just rude.

"what is the general consensus on approaching and chatting to them?"
I think I speak for everyone when I say you should shout "hey - it's [redacted] from Fab! I've seen her tits!" |

"Just send a hello message on fab. Which does not contain the words "I am near you" . If they want to, they will reply"
Omg those are the worst. "I'm in (shop) and you're showing up as (distance). Are you (description of some woman)?"
The response to that is always a block. |

Aye, best not to say anything at all so good on you mate.
Even if you met them in the future, I'd probably keep shtoom about seeing them as well because that might come across as unintentionally creepy.

Yeah don't mention it. I find the messages after creepy too! When I was here last someone worked out who I was and messaged me on social media too which freaked me out a bit. |

Yes it's very creepy/stalkerish
I mainly send a "hello" to a "who's near" whilst on the train to a social |

it's happened a few times.
anything has to be better than coming up behind them and 'quacking' at them.. or taking a sly photo from X feet away, and messaging with 'this you?'
but no, as above, i wouldn't! Px |

Yeah, a message from someone who happens to be near is very different to a message from someone because they happen to be near. |

If they of wanted to be connected, they would do here.
Only after conversation has been established the drop of a ‘seen you around’ conversation would be acceptable.
But stalker behaviour or intimidation of being exposed is not |

While it's not something we are ashamed of, we would still feel uncomfortable if someone from Fab randomly approached us in public...
It's part of our private life and we prefer to keep it that way. Having said that, if the person/people were interested in getting to knownus, we'd be happy for them to message

Not had enough meets to experience this in the swing world but have done in the kink world. Depends on how well we know each other but mostly just ignore or let them make the first move.
Have heard horror stories of people being approached at work and it being loudly announced where they knew them from. It's not on. |

Was it a man or woman?
A man would likely be happy and offer to nosh you off.
A woman is more likely to film you for tiktok and out you as a perv! |

"How does anyone recognise anyone on here?? "
Sometimes they lie.
Years ago - I had my first initial as my name - I'd get messages with the right initial and wrong name, asking what "our" boss or colleagues might think. |

To be clear I didn't approach them at all but just curious to understand how most people feel" Hey i don't see the problem, those that have said no don't approach them have been here years, if you are friendly and respectful and would just make friendly every day conversation ive bumped into a few people over the years and especially as i go to clubs, just be a gentleman at all times, if you can't be a gent because you are not one then don't approach ever |

"It turns out that seeing someone in Costa is not a good enough reason for plopping the old chap on her shoulder and giving a loud “hey fabber, wagwan?”"
Why do you use plop in every post you make?? |

What’s worrying is that was supposed to say popping. I’ve obviously said plop too many times recently…. I shall try to rein it in (the mentions, not the, well, you know) |

Personally I'm not sure I would mind, would of course depend who I'm with bit I didn't speak to this person today or even acknowledge them as I accept I'm likely the minority, however it was interesting to understand other peoplrs views
Thanks to everyone who pitched in, hope you have a lovely evening |

I'm self employed and generally work alone.
I know and I don't care.
But those messages generally sit badly with me. |

As someone who had a weirdo from here follow me round Tesco, then message me when I got back to my car to tell me what I'd bought and what I was wearing, just don't fucking do it, it's creepy as fuck, and actually pretty scary. I didn't take a direct route anywhere for months afterwards, just in case he was trying to follow me. And it brought back awful memories of having to get the police involved due to someone stalking me years ago.
If you like the look of someone on here, just message them like a normal person, no mention of seeing them, keep it as your little secret - if they're interested they'll respond to your message. |

Could be even worse and they message and say thanks for helping me with so and so in your work today, loved the fact I got you serving me like I had once
