Kebab is a bigger meal, a burger is never enough for me.

I don't like to make a habit of eating either, but when out and about I usually only come across junk food.

Tonypandy.

Beef burger, mushroom, bacon, stilton, onion jam. In proper bun, not these brioche things that disintegrate.

Burger 1/2 pounder with burger sauce and all the salad falling out. Not had one of those in a while..... I hear you calling. Friday night I promise.

I'm going to say Kebab because it's a meal. Granted its a meal which always makes me shit my brains out, but it's a meal.

If you are throwing fries in with the burger, then I could be swayed on some occasions.

A Burger.

Course ground patty, medium-well - because I hate to see my meat 'haemorrhage' on my plate - aged cheddar, served with slaw.

They both have their place, well deserved, but they aren't the same thing.

That said, a burger is the greatest culinary creation.

Now this is actually difficult. As they both have a place for me. Overall I probably eat more burgers. So I'll go for them.

Yes! I'm with you on this one.

And them massively thick patties so they're literally stodging your throat. Quarter lb is the max a patty should be.

Definitely burgers.

And I have a special nostalgia for good old fashioned takeaway burgers. Nothing too fancy like whatever the heck every gastro dining locale is doing nowadays. Fanciest I'd like would be Shake Shack. And I've yet to try the one in the UK to see if it matches up to the one in Singapore where I'm from!

BRIDPORT

Our local kebab shop does a really good 1/2lb cheese burger with salad and relish.

I never eat it in my hands, alway at home , on a plate with fork and steak knife.

It cuts right through the bun and burger with ease.

Why choose?

I’ve been known to have at least one of each at 3am after a night of revelry.

Grande half pounder, dirty with cheese.

Large mixed kebob, lots of chilli sauce, no salad!

Burger.

But a fresh skewered kebab with warm pitta and fresh salad has its place.

Not the elephant leg rotating in the kebab shop tho. And definitely not on a pizza.

Had a lovely chicken burger yesterday.

The worst chicken burger I had was quite simply a chicken breast in a bun. Absolutely awful.

But the best burger is at Monterey Jacks and named the MJ and it’s delicious - burger, bacon, onion rings, bit lettuce and drizzled with maple syrup

little house on the praire

I used to work in a Greek/Turkish restaurant. The kebabs where on skewers and cooked at the front of the restaurant on hot coals. Served with salad. We also served meze which was about an 8 course meal. When it came to the meat that was also cooked over hot coals. If ever I had one I would save my salad course to have with it as I couldn't eat all that meat on its own

Yup and I thought the same as you, but it works and gravity pulls it downwards into the bun, annoyingly
