Quitting overthinking/practicing mindfulness - My life overall has improved exponentially since realising analysing everything is totally a waste of time |

I have advanced OA in my left thumb. In 2021 it was so bad I could barely move it for the pain, I was offered steroid injections into it, but since I’ve experienced this in a knee joint I wasn’t keen to go there again with a much smaller joint. Eventually I had no choice as it had deteriorated so badly I let him do it…. Why did I make myself wait a further 9 months to have it done? It wasn’t as bad as I envisioned it to be and the effects were pretty much overnight…. It lasted just over a year and I had it done again a couple of weeks ago. It’s still a bit sore but still better than it was |

Definitely retiring early, covid influenced the decision but i don't regret it.
Its great to be able to get up and do what i want when i want and not being forced to jump through hoops to amuse managers that mostly weren't able to do what was expected from their staff. |

Ditching the need to be in a 1 on 1 relationship ... For years, I thought having a fella would complete me.. Now, I know that's not true. |

So I suppose I should try and come up with a flippant or funny answer to this but the boring and obvious one is that I wish I hadn’t waited as long as I did and let things get so bad before realising and accepting who I was and making the change that I did |

Realising there are a million jobs out there and every one of them is packed with possibilities.
I don't tolerate half the bullshit I used to, I value myself and my abilities properly and I try to do work that is meaningful to me.
I have no fear at all of leaving a job if it's not working for me and that's a glorious position to be in. |
