Babe, hun , sweetie .
I mean if we’ve built up a rapport than that’s different , but any of these kind of things in a first message is just creepy.
And never ever called me slut , that’s just a straight block no matter what. |

Geezer, boss, guv - that sort of thing.
I don’t hate it as such but typically find that such as mentioned are invariably uttered by rather uncouth individuals who dwell well beneath one’s social standing….

"Penis wallet. My husband uses that when he wants to irritate me
Ah shit... I like that one and if I didn't want to fuck you, I'd have said it by now... eternal dilemma "
My husband says it and he still gets to fuck me. I'm eternally generous and forgiving |

"Don't tell me what you don't like! That's a sure way for me to start calling you it.
I hate being called a sex god, really winds me up "
Ladies! This man is a complete and utter sex god! Don't be fooled by him, he is a 100% grade A sex god.
Just watch yourselves around the sex god, you know what they are like. |

Female, or girl. Gah.
I don't mind people I have a connection with using pet names with me, if they want to, but at work I despise customers calling me sweetheart, love, darling, dear, mate, etc etc I am none of those things to those people! The one exception is a particular customer who always calls me 'flower', and he gets a pass because it is very clearly meant very nicely, and he seems like a good egg. |

"A wet hole
Is that open (pun not intended) to other variations to being acceptable?
A hole?
A moist hole? (sorry! I know that word triggers people)
A wholesome hole?"
No. I hate any orifice being referred to as a hole. If someone says to me “which one of your holes do you want me in” all of my “holes” are now closed to you except the door. Goodbye. |

While I'm not dismissing the validness of your dislike for those names from strangers, 9/10 it will be meant nicely by those people too. People just have their words that are used to express appreciation - a lot of the time we should all keep this in mind. |

Started typing similar response. Men and women use mate, love, dear. Because they're not rude names and they likely don't know you're actual name.

Why do I have to keep their theoretical intentions in mind, and not that they instead should consider such labels might be unwelcome? |

"Mistress, goddess just ick "
It would totally depend on who is doing the talking
Some would be cute/funny/sexy others would be a bit creepy or just wrong.
Yeah, these above wouldn't ever fit me or feel right even as a bit of fun. Just odd sounding to me.

Well partially because you said yourself one guy gets a pass for it because you feel it is meant nicely. So you are doing that with him. |

In the setting I'm talking about, I'm required to wear a name badge displayed prominently, if they really really feel a need to refer to me. Also, I manage to get through every single one of these interactions without using pet names, it is in fact possible to have a whole exchange without them. |

Sure, based on two years of interpersonal interactions that have gone beyond 99% of the other interactions I have in that setting. There is context, and appropriateness. |

Baby or naughty girl
Actually, anything involving girl - I'm a fully grown woman who can tie my own shoelaces and everything.
Where I live people use 'duck', I don't dislike it per se, I just find it strange. |

Madam winds me right up...it just sounds like they're taking the piss.
I like being called by the shortened version of my name.
Don't really mind about babe, luv, hun or any of that...better than some other words! |

Babe is slightly off-putting.
I think as I've got older I'm less fussed/bothered about terms of endearment.
Some names will always come across as a bit patronising but meh. I'm getting softer. |

As long as I'm not called something offensive then I could not care less what I'm called. Love, luvvie, bud, dude, mate, bro, dear, darling, pal. Will just make sure Im not known as the Karen. |

I normally get away with calling girls darling or sweetheart. On the odd occasion it's not gone down too well TBH but generally, if I smile, it seems to be acceptable.
On here, not sure I would dare try it. Usually difficult to convey a smile via text.

Got called a spunk bucket once
He did apologised and we laughed it off think he was too inexperienced being so young at the time. Thought he’d blown it but nearly 22 years later we are still together. Still makes us laugh |
