No, that was not stated at all. The church is looking at becoming more inclusive but there was no mention of God becoming female.
They are going to look at how to become a less gender focused and avoiding the term "Father" in future.
Nothing has been decided, it has been mentioned to bring about an open conversation about the whole topic.
Personally I could not care less as I am not religious but I like facts to be reported accurately as otherwise a healthy discussion could become toxic further down the line.

I have irrefutable evidence that God is not in fact a woman. And here it is:
In the beginning God created Man, then he rested.
Then God created Woman, and since then neither Man nor God has rested |

Mary was Jesus' mother.
Jesus is the son of God.
Biology would them prove God was male.
The actual fact is it all comes from a book of made up stories that has encapsulated billions of people over the years is the strangest thing |

Nope, definitely male!
It clearly states that the Flying Spaghetti Monster is a male, when it asks if you've been touched by his noodly appendage (but obviously not in a gary glitter/rolf harris sort of way)
