I like psychological thrillers, weird, subtitled. Films with a good plot twist or unexpected ending, Korean. Anything that engages the brain and has you immersed.

What can you recommend?

Somewhere In The Ether…

I Saw The Devil; It’s an amazing Korean serial killer themed film with some nice twists (but be warned - it’s quite graphic/violent)

Old Boy (original Korean version, not the US remake) is all of those things.

So I'm only hitting one of your requirements, but whenever someone asks for a foreign film recommendation I say "Goodbye Lenin". It's quite old now, but timeless I think. About a family who hide the fact the Berlin Wall has come down from their sick mother in case it makes her ill again. Really clever, funny and poignant too...

Carlisle usually

I really want to say Killer Sofa. Because that level of trash was exactly what I needed to bear witness to today. But that's not even close to what you're asking for.

But, to your stated preferences, Three Extremes is one of my go to DVDs when thats the vein I'm in. A small collection of short stories that are beautiful and a little bit stomach turning.
