A physically good looking person with no sense of humour or personality? Or, a person with a face for radio with a banging personality that can make you laugh?
For me, it’s the latter…. And you can’t say both!

I agree fully. Though more often than not those "less attractive" don't have the chance to let their personality shine through. It's pointless being perfect 10 personality if nobody will interact because physically the attraction is lacking both personal and universal.
And here is the overall bullshit with the physical or personality question. Both are equal except in specific cases. |

Not the response you’re probably hoping for but physical attraction will get my attention but the personality and mental attraction is what will keep it.
I’d value personality higher, however a situation to show off that trait may never arise if the initial attraction isn’t there.

I find ppl standing in there own truths and not just pandering to others in the hope of some trade off. And personality comes in so many forms there is beauty in all of them if im willing to see it , I find looks attractive....and and again that comes in many forms if I'm willing to get past my own set "types"

Why is being physically attractive seen as indicative of poor personality and a good personality as a compensation for being less attractive? If someone likes me personally and finds me funny does it mean I'm unattractive physically? |

Needs all three, if I'm not attracted to someone in some way, then I wouldn't be wasting time having long arse conversations with them to get to the sense of humour and personality part.
Needs attraction to some degree.
I wouldn't go for someone I found unattractive for whatever reason just because they're funny!

Personality is everything for me as I'm much better riffing off people if we have the same sense of humour and they can make me laugh. Even if I don't find them facially attractive to start with, I feel that once they show their personality, they can become more attractive over time. |

This is the bit people often forget/ignore.
Sure it's different if you are friends first, or in random passing etc. But intentionally trying to spark something like on here or a dating site personality doesn't help much if you don't appear attractive.
That is where the forum helps a lot though much more than first messages, personality can be seen (even just a small part of it) first.
That said I still stand by just because the personality is perfection does not mean you are suddenly attractive to all or even any. |

Personality is a big thing, if you have a dead personality it really isn't going to work and you can be the hottest person and it won't change anything 
I find getting to know someone and the more I do and if they have a great personality they become more attractive.
Obviously there has to be to some extent as if I'm really not attracted then no it won't work.

Truth is , personality will never be enough without physical attraction . ( Unfortunately for me ) lol

Really don’t buy it. Stage 1 is always a visual which is the gate way to the next stage which determines is you connect on a personal level. |
