Many of my fondest memories of growing up in the 80s and early 90s revolved around sweets and chocolate and sometimes crisps.

Anyone share this nostalgic childhood journey?

I believe the main difference between our Starburst and the American Starburst is that ours are made with real fruit juice as opposed to artificial flavouring.

Fuse bars!

They one of the wife's favourites, but they went out of production due to the nature of the materials used.

It threw in a little bit of everything from most chocolate bars (peanuts, rasins, fudge, chunks of cereal, etc) and that pushed up the price to the point where it was pretty much Cadbury's loss-leader.

Don't be fooled by the one which hit the shelves in India about 6 years ago - we imported some, and they are crap by comparison. It's a much cheaper bar, with some of the pricier ingredients either scaled-back or missing altogether.

A lot of these things will still be available to buy today, however, you will never be eating exatly the same thing because the ingredients will have changed over the years, especially the salt and sugar content.
