Somewhere In The Ether…

Good Folks; Cast your minds back to your school days if you will

Did you enjoy sports/PE or else would you rather not have been made to do it?

If you did enjoy it though, what sports/events were you best at or which did you enjoy the most?

Also, which sport/s did you actively dislike?

Were you in any after school teams?

London

Absolutely hated it.

In my final year we had the option to do 'outdoor education' instead which was way better. It involved stuff like abseiling which was great.

I was very lucky, in that my school recognised that I liked to play basketball and cricket. So they made juggled my PE sessions to accommodate it. It was a helpful way to keep me actually in school. Or I would have skived off.

Not even sure why my school called it cross country was at a school for troublesome kids basically, and was at a leisure centres trail that's around a mile long was 3 laps of that and if being honest most of us stopped for a wee fly fag half way around

Hated it but I did always volunteer to do orienteering. Got a day out of lessons for it and I didn't have to put any effort into it at all

Travelling

Hated it. Came up with a story about a bad knee, managed to somehow blag my way through 4 years of high school without getting involved in a single sport event or pe lesson.

I wouldn't say I was very sporty but I liked playing volleyball and handball with my high school class team! In primary I took part in some chess competitions. I liked participating, fun of it and team spirit, even if results were not that impressive
