I quite like them on some people.
I quite like knowing people don't really give two hoots if I like what they've done with their body.

None as yet, I have a couple of ideas for small ones I might like.
Depending on the tatt, I do often find them appealing in others, provided they're not too extensive. There's a point beyond which the tattoos become the dominant image and they obscure the person beneath. |

It's personal choice.
Maori culture has shown that tattoos can be more than the old fashioned Western view that associated tattoos with the forces, criminals and low life.
Admittedly in Japan tattoos are associated with criminality and the yakuza, but also counterculture. This caused an issue at the last rugby World Cup in Japan regarding tattoos and in particular the All Blacks.
I have an ambivalent view on tattoos. When I was younger and in shape I would get henna tattoos on holiday. But I have no permanent tattoos. The permanence puts me off.
But I have the same view as I do to kink. "Your body, your decision".
Next thread body modification!

I have one tattoo, but is big. To me is not just a tattoo is a "scar". Is a part of my life was a ritual and a tribute to someone that was very important to me. Is also art that you wear in your body.
So yeah I don't regret having it done. Now I could never go through the pain for fashion. But I respect who does and find both types attractive, ink or no ink. |
Reply privately (closed, thread got too big) | |
Not got any but not above using transfer tattoos lol. However you can temp tattoos with ink that fades within 9-15 months |

Not me. Although despite my not being into tatoos on myself (I love of the tatoos on other people) there is a little one in the pipeline. Despite having no desire for tatoos there is one which is a calling that transcends my position on tatoos on myself. One that I actually love the idea of and want. One that gives value not just to me, but to someone who means the world to me and to who tatoos are important. So its nice to be able to share that side. It is a statement of us which trumps my person tatoo policy. An exception to the rule. So maybe one day in the future I will also be adding myself to the list. |

Strangely it seems some of those without are vehemently opposed to them "disgusting" etc.. Some art we don't enjoy, similar with music, who we find attractive, how we decorate our home, is all our taste and never going to be for everyone..
I very much doubt that if an utter bombshell or Adonis with sparkling wit and personality was to approach many of us, ink or lack thereof would be a deal breaker.. Big love, inked or not x |

I can and do appreciate it on others so long as some degree of moderation is used. Heavily tattooed doesn't really hold appeal. |

I have zero tattoos. I regularly think that I would like one and even know what image I would like.
But I am quite a skinny guy and don't have much canvas to work with, plus I don't know how much it would cost and can't justify anything more than £100. |

We know, you already said further up they are disgusting. Must be a very serious topic for you. |

I don't have a tattoo and have made up my mind never to have one.
I do envy some people's tats.. and others I think are ugly and others have gone way too far for my liking .... but that is their business not mine.
I wouldn't pass an opinion on anyone's clothes so why would I pass an opinion on something as personal as their tats?
My reasoning for NOT having them is that we all change. 15, 30, 45, 60 , 80 etc etc .... I don't want a tat at 80 that I thought was amazing at 15. Or a devotion to a husband at 30 who turns out to be a cunt...... or similar.
I'd be fine with those temporary tats for the night.
I mean .... who says to someone your earrings and make up are disgusting ? You don't have a right to dis tats. |

Tattooed from neck down to toes...didn't realise so many people hated them |

The difference is people with tattoos don’t judge others for not having them. Not always the same the other way round |
