How does anyone know this from one side of a story?

Personally I think it is cringeworthy, brother doesn't get what he wanted, so throws tantrum and reveals all years after.

Airing dirty washing is embarrassing I think, but then he has a book and programmes to sell

I agree about the airing private business. However I also know how shit it is to have someone slag you off and tell lies about you. There comes a point when you have to say something for your own sanity, to try and put the truth out there.

His family slagged him off and told lies? This is who the dirty washing is about.

If you wanted to defend yourself you can do that without writing a book or doing a programme and getting paid for it though.

Yep this.

If the papers print lies how else can he get his story out.

The papers are making money from selling lies. I'd be selling my story for millions too if I was him. They are making money from his life, why shouldn't he (they).

They can't just get a job at Asda to pay the bills.

Not all that North of North London

From personal experience being estranged from your family is hard work, reaching that pount is shit. I can't speak for Harry obviously but I have never stopped wanting reconciliation. People who have not been there really cannot begin to understand how complex the emotions are.

And again from personal experience being portrayed as the villain in a story where you passionately believe you are the victim is horrendously tough to process.

I think people need to recognise that a little more

I never liked my brother's wife......

I once called her an annoying twat.

It's what happens in families.

We didn't roll about on a dog bowl or tell everyone, all and sundries just to get attention.

Harry is just getting mighty boring now I'm afraid

What do we know about William and Kate apart from they are perfect? I think I've only ever seen stories about how wonderful they are.

Weird that.

And he, like his father is an adulterer. Allegedly. Amazing how that is never reported.

Or how Kate quite literally delayed going to university and then chose a university based on her ability to meet the future king, because that's not at all creepy. But yeah she is lovely isn't she "

Because teenagers never choose to go to the same university's as others they want to meet ? To further their careers and lives.? Yeah common human behaviour sure is creepy. Let's stone her. "

She had been accepted to a completely different university and then decided to take a gap year and applied to do the same course as him (which wasn't the course she had planned initially to do).

I think most people choose their university based on the courses they want to do and potentially on cost. Not because the future king of England will be a classmate.

"Buy the book, for the fuller picture.

It's disappointing that an elder brother wasn't more supportive and loving

I think he has said he wants his brother and dad back in his life,I really don't think this is the way to go about it.

Can you though, when you are subject to the court of public opinion?

Yep this.

If the papers print lies how else can he get his story out.

The papers are making money from selling lies. I'd be selling my story for millions too if I was him. They are making money from his life, why shouldn't he (they).

They can't just get a job at Asda to pay the bills."

There are so many other things he could be doing with his life rather than pissing all over his family in public, while also saying he “wants them back”.

Needs to make up his mind. If he wants the family all to be friends shake then he needs to stop attacking them publicly … all the time!

The Town by The Cross

I don't care about any of them.

I don't care if the Royals stay or go ... but if they ARE staying i'd prefer them all to behave like William and Kate. I'm not saying they excite me. I'm saying that they demonstrate the standards expected of a Royal when exercising their public duties.

Harry has chosen not to be part of that and I don't begrudge him that but what he has done - yet again - is damaging to the royal family and to the public and the country.

Quite a few people on this thread mock the idea that brother's fighting physically becomes news and say that it's an everyday occurrence. I'll just point out 2 things....

1. These are ADULT men not boys. It is not 'normal' for adult siblings to fight. Disagree or argue yes... but shoving ???

2. The person who allegedly did the shoving is the future king.

It is notably concerning.

"In the latest released excerpt, Harry also claims he killed 25 Taliban fighters whilst in Afghanistan…

This just shows how Ill advised Harry has been in writing this. He is already a target given his position, but now publicly admitting this has made him more of a target for extremists / jihadists. This is an admission soldiers simply don’t make in public!

Besides he’s lost any Army credibility now anyway … knocked to the ground by a non deploying RAF officer -pah!

R x

Richard Kemp is totally slating him, he is fuming with Harry's comments on number of kills.

Maybe it's to appeal to the gun toting you ess aye market? "

Fair point. The US is his audience now.

Not just boasting about killing people, but saying that he didn’t consider them to be human.

Agreed, not the sort of thing a high profile figure should broadcast. "

Not the sort of thing a human being should boast about.

I find it interesting that he goes mental if he thinks anyone has criticised his own wife, but the then shots all over other people’s wives, including saying he and begged his father not to marry Camilla. The double standards there are just incredible.

Publishers are just making a mug of him, allowing him to pit his name to this crap.

I have had to turn notifications of the News off my phone as there are so many snippets turning up about what is in the book. It has got even more cringeworthy and embarrasing for me. Have some dignity please

For someone who said he values his privacy ,he sure doesn't value his families privacy, even down to personal things like his sibling being circumcised

I know he says it is in retaliation to leaked stories about his wife and him, but I didn't see stories about him or his wifes genitals anywhere.

I am not sure this is going to help give him a reconciliation with his family, I would imagine it might have made things worse.

I agree. But it could also be productive, I'm assuming (amd also assuming the book is relatively true) that non of this will come as news to his brother and father. It could also open doors to the conversations that lead to reconciliation, I suspect he more than realises reconciliation means having a relationship again, not having the same relationship he had before.

But that's obviously high risk and as you say it may have made things worse or at least less likely, but equally it may be from his perspective things can't get any worse. If he feels there is no chance of reconciliation and that he's not been listened to a book like this may be his last option. No one can say that they didn't know how he felt now, and it can't be assumed that his father and brother acknowledge how he feels.

His family could have read it in letters from Harry rather than played out in public. He coould have written how he feels and send it to his family if they couldn't sit down in a room and talk if he really wanted a reconcilation. It didn't have to be so public, unless you had other motives, which in this case looks like money.

I don't think telling the world about your brothers penis/ how the SIL didn't want to lend someone her lipgloss and how his brother went baldy faster than him amongst other childish things has anything to do with trying to make things better with your family, they are designed to sell a book.

Most families will have issues with other members of their family, we all accept that, but playing it out in public is not the way I think it should happen if you are serious in trying to reconcile.

How are they ever going to trust him again with any meaningful family discussions or business? Trust that it won't end up in another hello magazine expose. Such a selfish thing to do if you care about your friends and family and work mates.
