A lot of guys are given the advice to post on the forums to increase the visibility of their profile.
So they sit at their keyboard and dont quite know what to write but feel they have to write something.... so you end up with cringe threads, or "me too" responses in long threads where only every 10th comment is actually on topic. |

OP I was thinking exactly the same thing this morning. The forums, IMHO, have turned pretty crap recently. Loads of sycophantic threads that are either cringy attempts at getting someone to look at you or self indulgent (and repeat) threads that are just there for click bait and faux sympathy.
The one good thing about the forums is they go through waves and this current bout of cringeness will end soon (hopefully).
