Good afternoon all just talking about George Michael at work . Some of his songs were fantastic. Was he better solo or with Andrew Ridgeley in Wham

Both! I loved both his solo work and the glorious, foot tapping days of Wham!

From an artistic viewpoint though, his solo work is superior.

I think he's highly overrated. He owes a lot of his fame to soul artists he's borrowed music from.

He had so much hype when he was alive that I dismissed him for it. A bit like Jackie and Prince.

Blah blah blah bore off.

Looking back, Faith is iconic, Outside was brilliant, partly for the video. And I liked the duet with Mary J Bilge.
