We are just happy to be there, honestly we are. It's good enough for us, we are still not sure if Football or Rugby is our national sport.
We came home eaier than we'd hoped but it's OK, there's no public enquirie over here, no one needs sacking. Infact I don't think we even booed our team.
Look at us last Euros, our 2nd ever tournament, travelled everywhere, if allowed due to covid while watching England play all but one game at home - and still fuck it up.
By that I mean storm the stadium and cause damage after the game along with the racist remarks. Probably blowing any chance of Wales joint hosting a UK tournament. Thanks for that.
Even so, good luck England. I have no reason to support France or anyone else.
While we constantly over achieve the rest of us watch on as you under achieve but that can't go on forever.

I hope England is coming home for 2 reasons …
- I’m french , but far more importantly …
- I’m so over the extra shifts and longer shifts as we’re showing all England matches at work and they’re all at times and / or days when we wouldn’t be normally open … I’m past knackered.
Oh we showed the Wales game too but thankfully that didn’t last long .

Loved the comment, on the Beeb (by a Welsh "correspondent") that Wales were looking forward to being able to trot out... "what do you call an English man in the knock out stages of a World" Cup.... a referee! Well, that fell at the first hurdle, didn't it!
As I said to some friends of mine of various (home) nationalities.... What would the Paddies, Jocks and Taff's know about the knockout stages of any sporting competition!! |
